  1. Hi guys! I've got an itch to develop a plugin for my M35 2.5DET. It will use an Adaptronic 1280 ECU and a patch harness. The ecu selection will be because I'm pretty familiar with Adaptronic's now days, and also because the 1280 has an unlimited scope for programming auxillary outputs. This can be used to drive the auto ecu, dash stuff and anything else required. The 1280 is fairly special in it's function block approach to aux programming. Hardware wise, I will need a ECU (can be damaged I only need the plug/internal pins). Instead of plugging the stock ECU in, it will have the plug and then wiring off to 1280 instead. I will develop a loom and tune while retaining all the standard functions of the stock ECU. While I am there I will create a detailed pinout of the ECU as well as a value table for each pin (voltages, signal etc) Does anyone have a broken ECU laying around, or knowledge of where the plugs are available from? Can someone clarify if I can use any 3.5/2.5L ECU, they should have the pins just no internals if the pin is un-utilised for that model. Cheers, Jase
  2. Hey all Wondering if anybody would happen to have the plug that plugs into the main headlight switch off the dash for a 32 Skyline? The switch at the bottom is the one I need the plug for. Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers guys

R34 steering rack Anybody know if there is a difference in an automatic steering rack and a manual one on the r34?? i have a plug on my alternator loom for the steering rack but I have no sensor on the rack for it to plug into, thinking i may have an auto steering rack?? My car is a factory manual first photo is my rack, and second photo is one of the net
  4. hey guys, got my boss kit off this morning and noticed the steering angle sensor isn't sitting straight. i didnt install the kit myself so i dont know what had been f**ked with before i acquired the car. should a spin it around til the logo is up the correct way? its a series 1 gts25t 1993 with hicas and no air bag. need help before i take my car in the shop later (unrelated) otherwise ill have to put the wheel back on for the job then take it off again when i get home. also worth a mention, there is no horn wires anywhere. do i need an adapter or something? is the plug on the steering angle sensor the horn plug? if so where can i buy the adapter i need? nissan?autopro?ebay?
  5. I am having a small electrical problem. My car will only work if this plug is not plugged in. Other wise it just shorts when I attached the battery terminals. Does anyone know what it is for? It is the middle plug located under the fuse box in the engine bay pictured below. Please help... Thanks.

Attached is an Excel document which I painstakingly put together by hand, as I found some R34 GTT diagrams out on the internet either completely unavailable (bodyloom/m53/f3 plug) or unreliable (ecu pinouts) Ive sacrificed an entire engine loom to get this mapped out correctly and Ive taken the liberty to add in all wire colours. The first worksheet in the document is of what I call the 'body loom' plug or 'M53' or 'F3' plug if you are familiar with other Nissan looms. This takes all input/output from the ecu to non-engine related things. In the case of the R34 this is things like the auto trans control, traction control, dashboard outputs and inputs and power/switch feeds and triggers. I required a pinout of this plug as when going a full wire-in aftermarket ECU, many of your connections will be made at this plug. Nowhere on the internet could I find a correct pinout of one of these for an R34 GTT. The second worksheet in the document is a standard ER34 (auto) ECU pinout, with all pins labelled as to their function and also the wire colour. Enjoy, I hope this helps anyone who needs it.   7. What sealant do you guys use on welch/core/freeze plugs on your RBs? I'm in the process of building an RB30/25 and I can't seem to find any answers on here. I have bought brand new brass welch plugs. Apparently you have to use a special silicone sealant? I read somewhere on here that someone said loctite 504. Then I read somewhere els on the interweb (on other engines) that someone said permatex no. 3, and stag. LS motors have special ones that they buy from GM i think. I bought a nissan gasket kit and got nissan fluid gasket which i'll be using on the water pump. Do you also use it on the oil pump (+gasket) and oil pan?
  8. Hi all, I stripped out all of the old sound deadening material from my R32 GT-R in prep for replacement. In doing so, the rubber grommets / plugs / covers (take your pick of name) in the floor were removed. Most were either somewhat perished, had shrunk or were destroyed by removing the sound deadening. I have bought all of the replacement parts. I have had a bit of a search and looked through the workshop manual but have not been able to identify: What product should be used to seal the plugs? I am not fussed about using the original product (would prefer not to) but what would be suitable sealant to use now? Some were sealed in using something akin to the seam sealant but this required a combination of dry ice and a hammer to remove. Which plugs should be sealed? Obviously those that cover bolts that need to be removed for maintenance shouldn't be sealed. Also some that I would have thought shouldn't be sealed were or randomly / partially sealed. E.g. 74300AA / 06212-5500P in the spare wheel compartment was sealed when I thought that was supposed to be able to serve as a drain if required (R33 Boot - Water Leak) Pictures from Nissan FAST for reference showing the plugs in question: Cheers Rob
  9. For sale : 2 N\A R34 Coilpacks Condition : Used Model : Hanshin MCP-1440 Quantity ; 12 Coils Hey guys, I've got 12 individual coilpacks that came off from my NA R34 Coupe and Sedan. All are the same. 6 of them have done around 75000k's and the other 6 of them around 93000k's. I'm sure that only 3 of them have died. I've changed my coilpack coz both of my R34's sounded like a WRX and the engine light came up. It was Error Code 21(Ignition Signal). As soon as i replaced the coilpack it was all perfect. I've changed mine for SplitFires and i no longer needed these. Perfect for someone who's looking for replacement coilpack or for spares. $30 each for the good one's or $150 for 6. Let me know if anyone interested. Pick up from South Eastern Suburbs of Victoria. (VIC 3802) Otherwise i can ship them at buyers cost. Will cost you $100 each if you get them from Nissan..   10. Hi guys, Got 6 brand new still in packaging Sard 540cc injectors suit RB25/SR20. Come with fitting kit (o-rings, collars, plugs etc) Bought as a precaution and no longer needed. Paid $810, asking $550. Also a brand new still in packaging genuine Bosch Z32 AFM with Tomei plug. Paid $330, asking $250.
