upgraded gearsets for er34 Hi all, I have just finished my r34 build, RB30 cranking out just shy of 700rwhp and now my gearbox is crying like a 3 y.o girl. Anyone had experience with os giken, PPG or any other gearset upgrades. I dont want to spend a fortune but want a solid outcome that is streetable. Any one have experience, box for sale or comments I'm listening. Cheers

This may have (most likely) been covered before but I have not found any definitive answer's as yet, The RB25 R33 manual gearbox's obviously have a selector fork issue with the stock cast alloy item's, I know PPG do a billet item, but at $550 each fork, that's a little rough for most people's pocket, Does anyone actually know of some where that makes stronger/steel etc replacements? Surely there is more than one company that makes these for such a widespread common problem, Regards, Chris.

So they have been kicking around for a year or two in some cars and looks like a few of us have taken the plunge and made a purchase so just wondering what information is out there. 6 speed sequential that fits inside the standard GTR 5 speed case and bolts straight in. Got a nice load cell and rotary position sensor so you can set up closed loop flat shifts with a decent ECU. Gear ratios seems very sensible and friendly at 2.706 / 1.894 / 1.471 / 1.184 / 1.000 / 0.812 but have no options. Big 26-spline input shaft so requires a new clutch and rated at over 1000hp. Fair bit cheaper than a Holinger (with all the extras you need), Albins (which needs to have floor cut) and around the same price as an OS88 but with a lot more tech. Seems they have run into a few issues along the way but have been quickly fixed under warranty and new versions have been introduced to fix. Claims of 38ms shifts (probably more like 50ms) is still crazy fast if set up correctly. Who is running one? How easy was the ECU set up for flat shift? Anyone keen to share some experience or settings?

Gearbox was fitted with brand new bearing set when gear set was fitted all parts were brand new & haven't done that many k's since fitted, gearbox is in excellent condition. Hi guys, selling my complete gearbox from my GTR, has PPG gearset, 1st-5th. Been rebuilt less than 4,000kms. Can be veryfied through Chasers Motorworks and have reciept for rebuild. Gearbox is in perfect working codition. Selling due to selling my car in peices, including my engine which is on here already. Was only a street car so no track work. Comes with orc clutch which is light on the foot and holds the power, very streetable clutch. Does not have billet mainshaft or billet selector forks. Only gearset 1st to 5th. Gearbox is a push type from early 32 Asking $7000 which includes almost brand new ORC 659 twin plate clutch which cost me $3000

For Sale R32 GTR Gearbox, has just been rebuilt with full receipts, new gaskets and seals, all synchro's have been replaced, yet to be used since rebuild. Rebuilt by reputable garage here on the Gold Coast. Gearset are 1, 2, 3 straight cut PPG gears, box is ready to go, as you can see in pictures gears have had very minimal life, only done 3000kms use. Price is $6000 gearbox is good to handle just about anything you throw at it, can freight Auswide simply PM me with your postcode for a quote, freight will be on pallet strapped down and wrapped up. Slightly negotiable on price however serious interested buyers only. Additionally I have the OS Giken Quad Plate race clutch complete with flywheel for sale also, just 3000kms of use, it is a dampened disc type, comes complete with high tensile bolts $1400, again take anything you throw at it.
