Queensland Raceway regularly hosts Friday Night Drift Practice which provides top drivers a chance to test new setups and equipment but more so an opportunity for new-comers and social drivers to see how their car performs - and most importantly how their driving stacks up. Friday Night Drift Practice is a great social night as we run 2 drift circuits simultaneously as well as the skid pan in the front car park. The night is STRICTLY limited to 100 drivers so entry is on a first-in, best dressed basis. All you need is: A rear wheel drive car Neck to ankle clothing An AS/NZS 1698 Standards helmet Closed in footwear QR Clubman licence Mates to help change wheels and tyres Spare tyres for the drive home Practice Dates for 2014: Friday 14th February 2014 Friday 28th February 2014 Friday 14th March 2014 Friday 28th March 2014 Friday 18th April 2014 Friday 25th April 2014 Friday 16th May 2014 Friday 6th June 2014 Friday 13th June 2014 Times: Gates open for Drivers and Spectators at 4:30pm and Drift sessions commence at 6:00pm. The 2 Days of Thunder at Queensland Raceway will feature Historic Touring Cars, big American V8's, Trans-Am Race cars as well as the roar of V8 Muscle Cars. With track highlights including Black Trucks/Tranzmile Historic Group N, Cobra & GT40's, there will be plenty to get your pulse racing. And the fun doesn't stop there... The event will boast a relaxed 'access all areas' atmosphere allowing families and enthusiasts a rare chance to see some of the world's most exciting cars up close. The Shannons Show and Shine will bring some of the country's most prestigious cars to South East Queensland, featuring the Mustang 50th Anniversary!
