S2 Rb25det into r32 auto rb20det *wiring help please* Hey guys new to this forum hopefully I've posted this in the correct spot, I'm having some major problems trying to figure out the wiring on my car, so I just picked up a auto rb20det r32 regoed and all for $3000 (yay) and I went out strait after and brought a r33 s2 with a manual Rb25det, I've installed the motor and box, nice and easy, but now I have 2 looms in my hands to use. Now I originally was going to use the rb25 loom, as I thought that would be the best option but found that the body loom had a few extra plugs on it and was really hard to find digrams and writeups on that particular loom and motor combo in a 32, so now I'm using the rb20 loom on the s2 rb25 motor. The problems I'm having is, the wiring for the coils on the rb20 loom has a ignitor, it has two plugs for the coils, one of the plugs has 6 wires going to it, this goes to the ignitor, the other has 3, and that goes to the coil harness. What I'm hoping to do is cut the plug off the rb25 loom for the coils, and then cut the two plugs off the rb20 loom and wire in the rb25 loom, I have searched everywhere but a can't find a plain and simple write up on exactly what I'm doing. The second thing is the afm, the original afm on the rb20 has 4 wires, and the rb25 has 3, so I also have to change that, again I can't find enough info on these online. There is also a purple plug up near the back of the intake manifold on the rb25 loom, I will need to wire this in but have no idea what it's for, is there anything els I may be missing? I've already swapped the injectors over, and swapped the pins at the ecu plug. pictures are of the coil plugs Pic 1 - rb25 pic 2 - rb25 pic 3 - rb20 pic 4 - rb20
