  1. Like to know if anyone is running and/or see real world Dyno results for the HKS GT III - SS Sports Turbo on the RB26. If your running these I'd also like to know your set-up and what you think. Thanks in advnce
  2. Hey guys. So my bottom end has a potential issue, engine comes out to drop the sump later this week to see exactly what, has a bit of a knock on cold start up that goes away. My heads were recently done due to a found exhaust valve leak, so upgraded springs and retainers, and upgraded drop in cams while it was out. Heads went back on and we found the bottom end was knocking at high RPM (not very loud as was heard through the knock box and ear muffs) when they were doing a dyno run with the new head on. Car hasnt been started up again since I have the option to purchase a freshly machined and honed RB25DET block, with a R34 GTR RB26 Crank, Nitto rods, nitto oil pump, new head studs, main studs, new main bearings for $3500, will need to get my own pistons though as he used the pistons for his RB25/30 build he ended up doing instead, and has had the built block sitting for a while and wants to clear it out. Block had only been assembled for test fitment of everything, then pulled apart so he could use the Nitto Pistons he had in his RB30 build OR Get my current RB25DET Neo bottom end fixed up, possible machining, new bearings, new rings, etc etc. Wasnt looking to do forged internals but could go down that track Was looking to make 300-350 rwkw for now, maybe 400rwkw, as I do have all supporting mods already outside the engine to go to that power (besides the turbo but will upgrade that while im at it) Will i see much of a difference using the RB26 internals? I know the crank has a longer stroke, what advantages will I see and is it worth just getting the almost-ready-to-drop-in bottom end and going with that, or freshening up my stock Neo bottom end? thanks in advance
  3. Well my build has begun...GTR life Bought a brand new coolant bottle, bonnet cowl and rubber, new clips for the front grill. Also got a new GTR badge for the boot, original GTR key and a nice little Nismo key ring Will start fitting things this weekend, also going to wire in my sub and amp and tune the stereo. I've also changed the steering wheel to my mono 'race' wheel. When I got time I'll post my list of things I have decided to do. Love this car, love driving it, love playing with it,
  4. Hey guys, Well the old girl has given up compression on no.6. 1989 model. Imported/complied in 1999. Gunmetal grey. 90,000km on the motor. '94 model engine so has long drive crank. Timing belt/tensioners/water pump (n1) and oil pump (n1) done as well HKS oil cooler kit with filter relocation Tomei sump baffle Profec B spec 2 electronic boost controller Nismo cluster (so can't be 100% on kms however in very good condition) Nismo rear subframe (stiffer bushes) Nismo billet flywheel and button clutch (balanced) Plenty of life left - only done 5000kms Nismo shocks and springs (firm without being teeth chattering) Newish genuine radiator R33 GTR brembos all round with plenty of pad Wedsport 17" lightweight wheels. (unsure of exact model but can chase up) -so light you can juggle them Bee R front pipe Full exhaust Sounds the goods (less so now that she's low on comp) Sure i've forgotten lots but it'll come to me. Body quite good. Has had a respray since coming to Aus. Few scratches and what not but she's 24 years old! Interior good. 1 tiny mark on dash (not a bubble) Nismo gear knob Momo wheel GPS based alarm with satellite tracking Sony head unit Has had oil/filter/coolant/fuel filter etc in last 200kms. Heaps of hoses replaced under the inlet manifold and also replaced water fittings and other little bits and pieces. No leaks. Has rego till November 2013. Its a great car that just needs the motor freshening up and will be a joy for a new owner. If the price is right i can include a a forged bottom end that is ready to be put together and lots of spares. (power fc, turbos etc) Will get some pics up this weekend. $16000 happy to negotiate with serious people. May seem a bit dearer than the rest but at least you know what your'e gettting.   5. Hi all, Regrettably I have to sell my car due to moving overseas (to NZ). I have owned this car for a little over 1 year now and since then have hardly had the opportunity to drive it. It was off the road for most of the time while I replaced the engine and added a few extra bits. Sadly now it must go to a new home. The paint/body work could use some t.l.c but could be a lot worse. I would love to restore it to it’s former glory but sadly can’t. The car was imported from Japan in 2005. I am the 3rd owner since it arrived. The 1st 2 were brothers. Bought the car with 107,000 km’s on the clock and I've put a total of 3,500km. So barely been used in the last 12 months. I am looking for any interest in buying the car as is. It is currently unregistered but was previously registered in QLD. I recently moved to Sydney and haven’t had it rego’d yet. I did have a mechanic check it over before moving down here and a few bits need fixing (some worn bushings and a gearbox mount). I have most of the bits needed to fix it and they will come with the car. 1989 R32 Nissan Skyline GTR Roughly 110,500 km’s on the car Roughly 75,000 km’s on the replacement engine. Came from a ’94 R32 GTR front cut. (The old engine oil pump broke and engine seized). Twin HKS 2350 turbos Mines 600cc fuel injectors Mines Air Flow Meters Genuine Mines Tuned ECU (can come with Apexi Power FC and Hand controller for $800 more) Autobarn88 600x300x100 FMIC with hard piping kit inc. HKS front pipe Twin Blitz BOVs HKS throttle body gasket (also have exhaust gasket never fitted) Bosch 040 in-tank fuel pump Apexi style air pods Extended Sump Standard internals Oil filter relocation kit with HKS oil filter. JIC racing front upper control arms HKS Turbo timer GRID HICAS electronic lock out Greddy Boost controller Trust boost guage Black Widow alarm and immobilizer with remote central locking (was fitted when I purchased car) Alpine head unit with removable face and remote control Recaro drivers seat (was worn/torn and now patched, see pic) Momo steering wheel. The only thing really wrong with this car might be the paint work, it’s a bit ptchy on the spoiler and there are a couple of scratches here and there but to be expected from a 24 year old car… I think that is about it but I may have missed something. I also have some other spare parts that can come with the car: brand new adjustable cam gears, brand new Gates racing timing belt, Apexi Power FC with hand controller, 3.5” straight pipe exhaust (very light), “twin turbo” pipe + more… Car is located in Sydney (2114) Viewing welcomed/encouraged.   6. I got sick of my oil pressure reading very low when warm (0 to .5 on the factory guage) so i decided to replace the sensor. You will need an open ended 17 mm spanner and you will need to undo a hose clamp (mine was a small socket to undo) this side of the engine bay. undo the bottom fuel line hose clamp and slide it off (it is the return line so there is no pressure in this line but some fuel will dribble out so be careful) this is the fuel pressure sensor about 20 cm below the fuel line hopefully you can see it in focus down there with a rubber gromet over the plug on the left hand end of it. this is what the plug looks like with the grommet pulled back. fairly easy to remove. you need to get a 17mm open ended spanner on the sensor to undo it. this is the new sensor i bought off ebay from nissan of chesapeake in usa. it cost me $95 delivered here. and this is the end result. a good oil pressure reading in the cluster guage. may not be highly accurate but it would certainly be able to warn you of a problem before it does too much damage.
  7. After a bare Rb26 block, ideally with stock bore (86mm). Cant be cracked. Ideally in Melbourne, otherwise must be able to ship.
  8. up for sale unfortunatly is my pride and joy r33 gtr. i have owned this car for the last 3-4 years. and purchased it with 88xxx and only has 90xxx on it now. i rarely drive this car but when i do it turns heads everywhere i go. time has come to move on as it rarely gets driven, it spends most of its time in the garage. never driven in the rain ect litterly and the car defintly shows it. when i purchased the car i had extensively detailed including underneath. i only ever run 100 octane premium in it from united. the car is all original drives very well. never had any issues with it. i will be selling it with personilised plates and RWC and REG which expires on the 16 of sept.   9. hey guys, long story short, bought this car for the motor. pulled the motor out, and some guy left me a deposit on the rolling shell. but 5 weeks later hes no where to be found. parents cracking shits wanting this out of the garage as its been sitting there for 2 months now. car is missing the complete interior. (all plugs etc are there, all parts would be plug and play) no motor. and the front end is missing because it was in an accident.   10. Time to put my pride and joy up for sale. This car has been apart of my family for the past three years. Bought off a mate, it's just had a full rebuild completed which is a shame as i wish i could keep the car! Working in the city, i'm in need of a more suitable daily driver!   11. Hey Guys, I have been thinking of selling my GTR for a while now. I work away in the middle of nowhere for 3 weeks at a time and get very little time to drive this car and have almost no need for it. Thought maybe someone on here would have better use for it. Anyway; 1989 R32 GTR in Gunmetal Grey. Just had the engine rebuilt by Marcus at Team K Kustoms in Sydney less than 2000km's ago. Fully forged internals etc etc... list of items can be seen on the build thread. If I get time while I'm at home I may install a HICAS lock-out bar, new rear diff-bushings, track rod ends, gearbox mount/bushings. if not these parts and more will come with the car... Can get a RWC for a serious buyer Would be looking at around the $19.5k mark but am negotiable and open to swaps for the right car so tell me what you got...   12. Hi all, I have an White r33 gtr for sale, 112,xxx klm on the clock. When I got the car the bottom end was stuffed so I am in the process of building another engine for it. Another bottom end has been used with a fresh rebuild, (rings, bearings, hone, new seals, reshimed head, gates timming belt). The car has r33 gtr wheels on it with new tyres (245/45). Coil overs, boost guage, and 3.5" exhaust with tuned y-pipe and split dumps. Stock turbos that have been port matched with the manifolds, car also has an aftermarket front bar, (not sure what brand), and H1 HID lights (low Beam). The engine is still being put together at the moment and will be run in before sale. If any one is interested in the car and would like to see the engine before its is complete you can contact me and we can arrange something, im asking $20,999 ono with rego and road worthy.   17. Hi all I have for sale my R32 GTS-T. I hadn't planned on selling it, but I'm now looking at buying a GTR. It's a 1992 R32 GTS-T, I've owned it for over 5 years since the odo said 130,000kms & its now showing 210,000kms. Been a daily driver for most of its life, still puts out around 150kw at the wheels at 13psi on standard motor, turbo & ECU. Very reliable at this power level, never had any major issues other than general wear & tear maintenance. Oil & filter changed every 5000kms religiously. I've been upgrading everything in the car ready for an RB26 conversion, & it's pretty much ready to go in right now. Mods are as follows: R33 GTS-T front brake upgrade BRAND NEW Exedy single plate clutch rated to around 700hp rebuilt & shimmed factory LSD upgraded UAS radiator GTR front seats GTR dials put into standard GTS-T dash DVD player with separate 7" display screen splitfire coils walbro in tank fuel pump (500hp rating) rb25 pink label AFM fitted & calibrated by Unique Auto Sports turbosmart dual stage boost controller (11psi & 13psi) 17" black R34 GTT wheels (optional set of 17" antera wheels also but only has 2 good tyres on this set) 3" catback exhaust aftermarket coilovers (just over a year old) GTR bonnet with N1 lip & GTR grille (grille needs to be painted but i still have some paint left over) dual pillar mount boost gauges (1 shows pressure in bar, other in psi) Plenty of other mods I'm sure I've forgotten, car is due for its next 100,000km service so only gets driven short distances on weekends mostly. (I've been holding off to do the RB26 swap). I can look into getting this service done prior to purchase if requested. Registered until June 2013, not had issues with rego or police for the past few years. (got defected once before & cleared before rego was cancelled, i was running a silly BOV & pod at the time, all plumbed back now). Bad points: clear coat is peeling in a few places, behind drivers door under quarter window & on the roof just behind the front windscreen aircon needs a regas, was working fine until it ran out & i left it planning on the engine swap central locking plays up, but the car can always be locked alarm isnt making noise, but the immobilisers still work fine passenger window isn't currently working, i believe due to the alarm auto-window lift malfunctioning. if you put power on the motor inside the door the window operates fine, & the switches are working fine also. Located in western sydney close to minchinbury Asking $7500, NO SWAPS PLEASE, i already have WAY too many toys. OR Price with included extras $13,000.   18. Hi All, I bought a complete R32 RB26 to use the head on a 26/30 and am now looking to offload the bottom end. It has had something go through it so it will require new pistons and a bore to 86.5mm or possibly 87mm.
