  5. Hi all, I am selling my pride and joy, R33 s1 GTST 5 speed manual full respray (except under bonnet) 170000klm on the clock. Extreme clutch replaced at 150000klm. 3 inch cat back. Resprayed in "RAY" r35gtr blue. 18" DTM wheels with 235x35x18 (front) and 265x35x18 (rear) ohlin coil overs in the rear, JIC coil overs in the front. fully adjustable. car has not been tracked or boosted at any time in its life. I have owned it since 90000klm in 2007 and have loved driving it to and from work. it is sad to see it go but I have to make room for a 4 door car with capacity for a baby seat. some spares come with the car. $6500, I am willing to negotiate with the buyer if they are serious. please pm me if interested.
  6. G'day guys, i have finally spent enough money on the engine (for the moment) and am starting to look more into the cosmetic side of things. Living in brisbane and working on an island off gladstone for 28 days at a time leaves me with alot of time to do research and hunt for places but it is hard to pick a good one. Does anyone have a place that they would recommend in brisbane or close to there that does resprays and would be able to fix the scratches on the body kit? Cheers Mitch

  9. I recently fitted some coilovers to the ol girl and thought it was about time I gave her some new shoes too but coming into xmas bit short on wheel funds so thought i'd give this a crack. The wheels that came with my 32 4 door were haggered and just looked plain shit so I thought i'd respray them while I save for some 33GTR wheels. Anyway threw on some paint stripper a few times which helped get all the old crap off. And started at 80grit wet/dry and worked up to 2000grit wet/dry with various increments working off gutter rash and small dents. Was going to bog a few larger rashes but the wheels are nothing special so thought eff it. While doing all this I hadn't really thought of a colour to go for the finish but while stripping it back there was a lot of white underneath and thought i'd give that a go seeing as all ive had is black wheels before. Gave the tyres a rough tape up job because getting new tyres in a fortnight anyway. So a few coats of etch primer and and a few of burn your eyes out white this is how they came out. Not a bad result for $80 of paint primer and emery paper.
  10. Just wondering if someone can recommend a good painter/panel beater in Brisbane. I have a Red V35 with dings on both sides from (hopefully) inadvertent door openings, and a more significant scratch on the front bumper where a truck that was left in neutral rolled back onto me. As the car is now getting onto 10 years, I'm also considering just doing a closed door respray. If anyone has any suggestions, that would be fantastic. Cheers.
