  2. The SAU Vic Go-Kart Championship is back and bigger than ever for 2017! The 2016 Championship had fantastic support with a great turnout to all 3 rounds. This year we have looked to keep the successful midweek formula that everyone enjoyed and we've added an extra couple of rounds, including one coupled with a cruise to Phillip Island and the final is a spring Sunday afternoon at LeMans that has always been popular over many years. The points system for the championship has also undergone a shakeup. We're going to use the V8 Supercar points system which will mean that events with more than one race will score points for each race, rather than just the final. Don't worry if you can't make all 5 rounds - you drop your worst, so the winner is the best performer at 4 events. The championship starts with the fast, flowing outdoor circuit at AceKarts in Albion on Wednesday the 15th of February at 7:00pm. Our format includes 10 Minutes of Qualifying, followed by a 10 Minute Race and a 15 Minute Race. Championship points for this event will be in the Supercars Supersprint format. 1ST 2ND 3RD 4TH 5TH 6TH 7TH 8TH 9TH 10TH 11TH 12TH 13TH Race A Race B 150 150 138 138 129 129 120 120 111 111 102 102 96 96 90 90 84 84 78 78 72 72 69 69 66 66 Entry fee is $90 which includes all sessions Sign in at 7.00pm Drinks and snacks available from the venue. SAU VIC farewell to a founding member It is with great sadness that SAU Vic committee and members alike say our goodbyes to Bec Pretty who is moving on from her roles at SAU Vic effective immediately.
