  1. Hi all, I've got a few parts lying around that I no longer require. Located at Newmarket/Ascot Vale area. Prefer pick up at this stage but may post some items later down the track. Pm me if interested. 1. BC BR Coilovers - $700 - Good condition - In the car for about 20,000 km's. 2. C34 manual conversion parts - $1100 - never got around to converting the car to manual. What you see is what you get + gearbox from late model R32 GTR which isn't pictured. 3. C34 auto LSD - $350 - purchased used and never fitted. 4. Transgo shift kit - $200 - purchased from group buy - New 5. C34 radiator air deflector - $120 - purchased from group buy - New 6. Rear cargo light - $100 - purchased used and never fitted. Cheers, Kandio
  2. Hi Guys, Well after having the transgo for about three weeks now I have to say im not impressed. In manual mode the 2>3 shift is very clunky and if i floor the car in drive regardless of what speed im going the down shift is very aggressive: like someone rear-ended you. I have noticed several issues with my car: 1) On several occasions in D at WOT the transmission would upshift way before redline (at ~5k rpm) and the change was not crisp or fast at all...I would say even worse than the stock transmission. 2) Another example is if im doing approx 60-70km/h and i floor it in D the transmission will downshift, then upshift, then downshift again. 3) Sometimes if im in D and i floor it, it takes 2 - 3 seconds for the car to react. During the few seconds before it downshifts it just accelerates in the gear that it is currently in (5th if im just cruising). 4) In D if i floor it the transmission will SLAM into gear with a loud bang...is this normal? I have reset the ECU by leaving the battery disconnected for about 10min. This didnt change anything. Has anyone had the same or similar issues with their transgo? I had it installed by a well know auto transmission shop in Perth but im now wondering if it was not installed correctly.
  3. Hi everyone, Firstly, what a great forum this is, it’s the fountain of knowledge for everything skyline related, it’s taken years to build this up and is the best forum for skylines out there, it has helped me loads, thank you. So I’ve been frequenting this forum on off for a while now, trying to get the information I need to achieve decent figures in my auto. After sorting the gearbox (401) with an additional bigger cooler (28 row mocal) and an MV auto’s stage 2 shift kit I then fitted a hybrid turbo, 440cc injectors and Emanage ultimate, bigger inter cooler and free flowing exhaust and exhaust manifold, 1.1mm steel head gasket and ARP head bolts. New water and oil pump. Off it went to be mapped, it returned with a nice 348 at the fly wheel figure at .85 bar. I think this equates to around 200rwkw depending in what fudge factor is being used? I could well be wrong, it wouldn’t be the first time... I’ve read lots of posts on here probably the automatic performance thread back to front at least 5 times but I still forget stuff. The car went off to be mapped again last week as I really want that 400 at the fly figure which I’m guessing is around the 250-260rwkw mark. After they found and fixed my very leaky rubber inlet manifold gasket they got her on the dyno. I got a message asking what I have changed on the car since it was last mapped as it’s only making 300 at the fly now and turning the boost up makes no difference. My mapper said it is like an exhaust restriction and asked if I have a cat but I haven’t, it straight through. The car has barely done 1k miles since it was mapped at this time last year so I’m a little stumped.? It has a standard bov, and a gizmo boost controller, they have leak tested it and there are no boost leaks. I’m also told the injectors are not maxing out and that turning the boost up isn’t making any difference. I’ve asked for him to look up the exhaust tomorrow to see if anything is up there that shouldn’t be, failing that???? It’s a rebuilt hybrid that went in when it was mapped last year. I only ever drive it gently all the way to the drag strip and then home again, maybe I’ll take it out and cruise around once in a blue moon but I never go flat out other than half a dozen times at the strip. The air filter has been checked and is fine also. Some of you guys will know this one even though what I’ve just written in my mind doesn’t compute. Any help or advice on this would be greatly appreciated as I’m not going manual even though I get a fair bit of flack for being auto. Thanks in advance Paul
  4. have gone the manual conversion route, leaving a few auto-related items for sale. First is a valve-body upgrade for the RE4R01A transmission. This is all fully assembled so just needs to be bolted onto your transmission and good to go. The upgrade is based off a Transgo kit that has then been further tuned by KEAS; the shifts are wayyy improved from stock without being too clunky/jerky, just a nice quick shift that holds power with no flaring. It's still in the transmission to keep everything nice n clean for the moment but hey, here's a pic of the complete transmission, just cos.... $200 for the valve body, and can post anywhere in Aus. The transmission itself; I believe one of the planet gears is slightly fkt, but still runs and changes gears excellently-like - just it develops vibration in 3rd gear around 90kph, which goes away when changed into O/D. The trans would be fine for a rebuild or for parts. $50, or will give away with the valve body for anyone local picking up the aforementioned item. Furthermore; I have a B&M auto-transmission cooler (still on vehicle, to be removed shortly). This comes with mounting brackets and custom hard lines that will all bolt in place with no mods, on an R33 gtst in the driver's side behind-front-bumper-vent-area. Ditching the stock cooler that is mounted in front of the radiator massively decreased my engine coolant temps, in addition to the trans fluid being much more effectively cooled by the B&M cooler. The B&M cooler is also very robust, pretty sure you could whack it with a golf club and it would laugh it off (no I haven't tried it) so small stones etc from the road won't hurt it. Will be pulling it off this weekend and will post pics then. Looking for $150, once again can post aus-wide.
