  1. Hey guys I bought these (second hand) over summer, fitted them in maybe March They are currently fitted to my stagea with the Eibach springs that were in there before but they aren't really suited to the driving i do and the roads i drive on They seem in good condition and im guessing that they might be suited to the king springs (running the eibachs because the stagea rears have narrower tops) I'll probably have these out next weekend They have no shock tops so byo, this will mean that you can pump the shock up and stuff and test them out without the springs under pressure Make me an offer Would also consider swaps for some gtr offset wheels (can probably do a small cash adjustment) Pics:
  2. I'm after a set of R34 GTT suspension, either stock or aftermarket. I'm located in Sydney. On another note, does anybody know if any of the other model suspension are interchangeable with the R34 GTT ones? (eg R34 GTR?) Thanks!
  3. While my s1 was sitting for a month or two waiting for me to finish the water pump and cambelt replacement, it turns out the rear shocks leaked out and are now good for nothing. Earthquake ruined roads here are partially to blame. I've seen some advice on here about replacement shocks, mostly upgrading or lowering, neither of which I'm interested in. I just want to replace the standard shocks, unless it's no more expensive to upgrade. I've sourced a local supplier $153+GST each - Anyone in Chch/NZ know of a better price than that? (bear in mind 4WD) Is there anything particularly tricky to this replacement? Do I need special tools? If there is no guide on SAU (I couldn't find one) I'll see about documenting my steps. I'd appreciate any advice/tips on this job... Cheers
  4. WTB: Nismo S tune suspension M35/PM35 [NSW] Hi guys, I'm looking to firm up the ride of my 350rx a little bit and give it a slightly better stance, but not looking to go super crazy with stiff coilovers. Nismo S tune shocks and springs seem to be my best bet, also because every other option I can find involves coil-over-shock in the rear of the car, which doesn't seem good for the car. Is there any second hand sets floating around Sydney?
  5. Hey guys, pretty straight forward. Need a set of stock struts and springs for my '06 M35. What you got? can collect on Western suburbs or drop off at Scotty's in the south.
  6. Hi all, looking for stock R33 GTS-T front and rear suspension (shocks/springs) - thank you!
  7. Advice/Recommendations: R34 Suspension repairs + coilovers Hey guys. I took my R34 GTT to Pedders for a full Brake, Steering and Suspension check after noticing some changes in my steering and road feedback. Turns out I need about $1300 in wear and tear repairs, and I also need to replace all 4 shocks. They said the only company that would make shocks for my car would be Bilstein and I'd need to get their Sports range which would end up costing me a fortune, and I'd be better off getting coilovers. They quoted me $1900 extra ($3200 for everything) for their own coilovers. But they reckon the maximum ride height of their coilovers is slightly less than my current height (factory height), and I really don't want to lower it (my baby is all stock after all). I would prefer to get a full coilover conversion than just replace the shocks, but does this mean I will need to lower it a touch? Are the Pedders coilovers good quality? ie would you recommend them? or if not, who should I look at? Is the price quoted reasonable? Thanks for any and all advice!
  8. Hi guys! I have an inspection tomorrow for my R34 GT-T. I was hoping someone could give me a hand today/tonight with installing the stock shocks back into the car. It currently has Cusco adjustables. I don't have a trolley jack so it's quite hard for me, regardless i am useless with these things. Willing to pay for the help!!
  9. 11. Hello, so I've had BLITZ/BC coilovers for bit over a year not really liking the ride comfort on the street, it's not that bad on good roads but the roads I'm on are shit house and feel a coilover doesn't have the suspension travel that is needed for a street setup plus the springs are a little to hard and I'm Bit of a wuss and don't see the race track a lot. So I am looking at going back to a shock and spring set up, I know bilstein set up is awesome but when said and done it's $1500+. Is there any decent shock and spring setup for <$1100ish not looking to go retarded low just a nice legal setup for street driving with the odd drag/ track day? Also has anyone heard of KYB special for street shocks would these be bad for Australian roads? Thanks
  12. Hi guys, up for grabs are a set of 350z stock suspension. It has served me well for the 30+ks and upon removal showed no signs of leaks. This is the best bang for buck suspension mod especially for V sedans as it lowers it approx 1". a moderate but noticeable drop while retaining ride comfort and increasing handling and still completely legal height. For V coupes, this will lower your car approx 1/2". This is the springs and shocks made by tokico and came standard on 350zs. $200 firm pick up preferred Brisbane southside. Thanks.
  13. Lowering GTT Coupe / Coils & Springs Alright gents, I need some genuine advice on something that must've been covered 1,000 times and I'm still hearing two arguments after doing some reading for the past two hours. Objective: lower my stock R34 GT-T to maximum legal limit (legit, it's like a patrol at the moment) Budget: $800-$1000 including install Want: lowered look with comfort but not wanting race-quality stuff. Car is a daily and I do a lot of highway driving Conflict: springs are cheap and will lower to what I want but will kill my shocks. Coilovers are great but don't necessarily want to spend 2k on suspension just for a daily Really really unsure which way to go here, but I see a ton of lowered 33's around my town and they all go springs/shocks and have no complaints. I'm smart enough to know that the poor man pays twice so I need some suggestions with the above information. Is there an in the middle option between spending bugger all on lowered springs to achieve what I want then getting smashed around and paying later for it, and entry level coilovers that'll probably do things I don't necessaryily need them to do? Thoughts?
  14. Hey all, So I was driving home on friday afternoon in the rain when suddenly I started to feel my rear shocks oscilations much much more than usually. I thought I may have punctured a tire from a pot hole or some other debris so I pulled over. Inspected my tires, all seemed fine. Checked my tire pressures, were a bit low so today (after not driving since friday) pumped them up to 40psi (235/R18s all round) and took her for a test. Problem still persists. Once home I did a shock bounce test and found them to still feel solid. (I have BC BR coil overs only about a year old). I have mine set relatively firm because of how low the car is with no guards rolled, keeps me from scrubbing . Anyhow, decided to jack the car up and down in the rear end to make sure the shockies were still expanding and retracting with and without load. All seemed normal. Now I'm a little stumped. I hadn't felt or heard anything break before I started feeling the excessive bounce. The BC BR Coilovers are less than a year (if not just comming up to a year) old so I wouldn't imagine they'd have seized or failed already. I've got one theory (which I can't test until I get tools from the workshop tomorrow night) but perhaps if I back the firmness of the coils in the back off a little more, it may allow the shocks to absorb more of the shock rather than it being transfered to the wheels. I haven't seen any obvious bushes 'flogging' out when I had it last on the hoist either, that's not to say something hasn't happened spontaneously though. So I am stumped for now. Any one else had this problem? In Short: Problem: Boucy rear end Fixes Tried: - Tyre Pressures - Inspectated Tyres (fronts are new and rears use to be the front so they still have tread) - Suspension Bounce test - Jacked up rear to inspect load and no load operation of coil overs Yet to try: - Softening up the rear coils via adjustable dampening dials.

  16. Hey All, So I've decided to sell my Bilstein shocks with H&R lowered spring (rear) and unknown lowered non progressive springs (front). The height I think is very decent - not too low, not too high. This package managed to do a 1m12s around Wakefield Park, so it's decent enough.. but owning a floating fridge with wheels on the track, something a little stiffer is needed hence they're up for sale. History on these shocks: I actually bought these used a while ago so I have no idea how many kms are on them. When I purchased them they were on horrid slammed off it's tits king springs which I pulled off and sold immediately. I then re-used a set of front springs I had already on the car with H&R progressive rear springs which I bought off this very forum. I replaced the worn bump stops with some used stuff I had lying around, replaced the strut tops with some slightly better ones from my car and plonked the lot on my car. Shocks do not leak and are very comfortable. No audible knocks and no signs of bent shit, I would say these not too bad (heaps better than your chopped springs on standard shocks). Because I have no idea of the age, and the KMs traveled I am planning to let the entire lot go for pretty cheap. However, I won't remove them from the car till the prospective buyer is happy with them, i.e. I'll take you for a ride around my local hood. What you will get: - Front & Rear Bilstein shocks (no circlip mod) - Front Unknown Lowered Springs (non progressive) - Rear H&R Lowered Springs (progressive) - Decent strut tops - Ok looking random bump stops lol How It Sits: Price: $350 (yes I've got it listed more on social media, it's because there's a moron filter tax) Location: Canley Vale, NSW Contacts: Here or PM Oh yeah, here's a video of my car & suspension combo in action:
  17. Bilstein Coilovers R32 GTR Hi, I have a set of bilstein B8 with a coilover sleeve that I had rebuilt and revalved by Baker Bro's in victoria. Baker brothers are very well known in the Rally world for revalving Bilsteins and generally only work with race teams, hence dont advertise themselves. I found them on the net after a bit of digging so sent them off from Sydney. These were done about 12 months ago. I asked them for a fast street/tarmac rally set up with the valving. The car has sat the whole time in the garage and I am going to go a different direction with it hence they have not even done a single KM. The spring and shocks/springs have some scratches on the paint as with any older coilovers and will need new rubbers at the top mount, however thay have been refreshed and revalved which is the expensive part. I am not sure of the rates however they look to be on the higher side (maybe 8 or 6kg) however with the right valving and application this should not matter. Bilsteins have a wide range of adjustment so you can always change them out if you need harder or softer springs. Cost to me was $770 inc GST + Shipping both ways to baker bros. I will let them go for $800, I need to clear all the parts I have unfortunately to pay for other things. I think it very fair price for a custom Bilstein coilover set up. Cheers
