  1. Hey guys, Could someone help me out please - I'm in desperate need of a pink slip for my R32 GTS-T. My only posssible defects are an exposed pod filter and aftermarket HIDs. I had my car booked in to a guy this morning but he knocked me back 'cause of the pod. Can anyone please help me out? Preferably Sydney Inner West (I'm in Haberfield) - I'd REALLY appreciate the help, especially if someone could help me ASAP. Thanks in advance guys! Josh.
  2. R34 GTT Traction Control, SLIP and Engine light on Hi guys, A few days ago when I was driving I noticed that the Traction Control OFF, SLIP and Engine Light had all turned on all of a sudden. The car didn't drive any differently (no miss-fires, performance loss or anything) so it seems something else is up. I disconnected the battery and re-connected it which temporarily stopped the issue for a few minutes (this was after a cold start however), but now it's back. Any ideas what it could be? I've done some research and some people are saying throttle bottle (I've checked the cables), coil packs (these were brand new only a few years ago) and a few other things, but there is no definite answer. How can I go about getting this fixed? I don't want to fork out $500 on coil packs only for it to not be the issue. Thanks! Picture for reference:
  3. Burning smell & Error codes Hi boys, new to the forum. I have a question and I know there's been posts about this before but I couldn't find anything related to my issue what so ever. Friday just passed on the way home from work I could notice a slight burning smell of rubber or plastic. At first I didn't worry too much because t could've been from one of the cars around me as it was peak hour traffic. However, the smell followed the whole way home. Since then I am avoiding driving it until Tuesday week. The smell will only start after about 5 minutes of driving, I wouldn't say it's an electronical problem as surely something would've happened already and I would've noticed. Just assuming. I couldn't see a plastic bag stuck to my exhaust but I didn't get a proper look as my car is too low. The smell more so comes from the driver side but I can't pin where it's coming from and when I look and smell through the engine bay I can barely smell where it is. Two weeks prior, I had some high flow cats installed so I'm not sure if that might possibly be part of the issue either. If anyone has any rough idea or have experienced that issue it would be good to know. Im booked in with Hi Power Racing next week, I might have to wait until then. Thanks
  4. Yaw/G-sensor issue. Hey guys, I wired a switch into the orange wire of the Yaw/G-sensor under the centre console. I was really careful with handling it and to not let the wires touch the body, however now i'm not able to reactivate traction. The orange wire has no power running to it any more. I've tried 1. reconnecting the orange wire (removing the switch from the circuit), 2. resetting the ECU, and 3. checked TCS fuse. Any help would be greatly appreciated as i'm at a complete loss over here. Cheers guys :-)

Hi guys, I joined up here a few years ago when I used to own an r-33 GTR, this community has been really helpful in the past and obviously has a lot of experienced with modified cars & blue slips. I desperately need advice on my current situation. I live in Sydney & own a 2000 SUBARU IMPREZA WRX, which I foolishly allowed to run out of rego (wasn't driving it often, money pretty tight), I didn't realise it would be so difficult to get a blue slip for a modified car. My mechanic down the road quoted me $2250 all up (wtf?) to put it back to stock and do the following work (obviously he's a completely by the book guy, possibly over-quoted as well): - pedal rubbers (the pedals are aftermarket lol) - check off valve - exhaust (its a half system) - NISIR stop light (not sure what NISIR means, but he said the stop light was out) - Oil leaks - Radiator support panel bent (I hit a bump in the road pretty hard about a year back damaged the front lip of the car, so I assume that's what its from) - Headlight covers (presumably not a big deal) Where should I take it (around Sydney) and what's the best approach to get a blue slip for the least amount of money possible? The main issues are obviously the exhaust, the check off valve and the bent radiator panel, nothing else seems major. I can't afford to put thousands of dollars into a car that's worth ~5k. That being said the car is reliable and has plenty of years left in it. I also really can't afford a new car either. Is an engineers certificate my only option? Please help!
