  1. tacho jumping all over the place on R33 GTST Hi, Today my tacho (standard dash) started jumping all over the place. I did a search but couldn't find anything, other than check the battery terminals, which I checked and are fine. At idle it's jumping between 4500 and redline. The car is driving normally, the speedo is working normally. Computer is an Apexi Power FC. Any ideas before I take it to my tuner? cheers Mike
  2. R34 cluster issue Hey all, so my rpm gauge on my r34 is not working at all, we've just tried a scan tool and it came up with zero faults, is there any way of testing to see if it is the cluster itself that has the issue? Anybody else have this problem?
  3. Hey all first time poster here. I own an r33 and for the past couple of weeks I’ve been struggling to fix a problem with the rev unit. It will either stay completely still while driving or go all jumpy and random (I’ve heard this is notorious for skylines). ive tried replacing the actual rev unit itself to no avail as well as the whole back in to the speedo and rev unit which also hasn’t worked. Ive also cleaned out the connectors that feed in to the rev unit without success. Im completely open to any suggestions on what to do next because I’m out of ideas
  4. Hi guys, I'm after a manual cluster/tachometer for my R34 GTT, since mine poofed its self. Was looking at going for a nismo but waaayy to expensive and would rather use the cash for engine mods. Even just the PCD cluster board would be amazing. Thanks
  5. So this morning I went to drive and when I turned on my car the tachometer would not work, and the ABS and TCS light stayed on. Turned off, waited 30 seconds, and tried again with same result. Obviously there was an issue, so I shut her off and drove my daily, as I was already late I couldn't afford to sit there and diagnose it. I came home in the afternoon and decided to check it out. Only, it is now working fine. YAY FOR INTERMITTENT! So a few things: - I drove it to work on Monday with no issues, been sitting since then. Never happened before. - It was raining this morning, and it was early when I started it (morning dew early). It has never been an issue before, but obviously in the afternoon, all the wetness and moisture has disappeared. - ABS and TCS rely on wheel speed sensors, that is what connects them, but the not sure how the tacho receives it's signal. - Every other gauge including triple gauges worked, and back lights worked. Feel free to ask me any questions. The only place I would start looking would be behind the dash, but honestly I have no idea. I will try and start it tomorrow morning early and hopefully nothing is wrong and it was just an omen to not drive my car for some reason today. Cheers.
  6. Hi everyone, I hope everyone is having a good day as a skyline owner ( or enthusiast) I am having a very difficult time with my cluster at the moment. Here are a list of sections to my predicament: - None of the gauges work (except the turbo gauge I think) - The lights on the cluster will light up (handbrake light, check engine, battery etc. when I stall) but are not on regularly - I have sent the cluster to a specialist in the Eastern Melbourne suburbs. He took it all apart and said he could not see any issues with it - I have sent the car to the Auto Electricians in the Eastern Melbourne suburbs too, they had a look at the wiring and said they could not find anything wrong either - The car does not have a Speed Transducer in the car at the moment. I have bought one but have not yet fitted it. This leads to my questions. If I replace the speed transducer, will this fix the rest of the issues on the cluster? I was hoping that it maybe completed some form of a circuit for everything? Could it be the ECU? as far as I know I am still running the stock ECU

Hello all i am new to installs with tacho's i have been looking on the net for about 2 days now trying to figure out were my Signal wire is for my tacho i know i am runing a pro f-con ecu it looks to piggy back off the orignal ecu. i am just con fused on were to splice in to ? i am pretty certain this is the wireing dirgram for my Ecu (Link) > http://1jzmerc.com/hks-faq/hardware/ i have been told to splice in to pin 8 but i am still not 100% just need some help if possible thanks . Photos will be posted on request if needed thanks again
