Hello everyone, I am fitting oil and coolant temp gauges to my r32 gtst. I am wondering a few things Normal Oil operating temperature - Oil temp that I should not go above - Normal Coolant operating temperature - Coolant temp that I should not go above - Thank you.

HEY ALL, I'm new to the scene, finally a PROUD SKYLINE OWNER ! I hope i'm writing this in the right topic as i'm not much of a forum guy and my English is not the best either. Now i have been wanting to buy a skyline for the last 15 years at least ( i'm 33 now) i'm from Germany originally and it was an utter fortune to get one over there. As i made Australia my home now my dream finally came true. So i recently purchased a bargain manual R34 GT-T , rb 25detneo with 106000-km and its pretty much factory stock. - Now i'm getting a a high but steady oil reading at 135c after a few minutes driving (normaly :-D) - also the water reading is at 120c (steady) The engine seams to run super smooth the needle doesn't move in idle, there are no noises from the engine what so ever. the oil gauge on the main dash sits less then halfway . I got a service done after purchase at a trusted mechanic (even though he said he doesn't really know (those cars) ? the only issue he mentioned was a small oil leak from the O-ring at the Oil-Cooler and also a small oil leak from the engine rocker cover gasket. Now after a lot of research i was hoping to get some input from you guys on what to do. i have order a new engine rocker cover gasket still trying to find the O-Ring, to get that sorted, but i'm not shure if that will fix the high readings , should i just go and buy a quality OIL cooler (not the cheap shit) and maybe a good water-pump?! Also can anyone recommend a mechanic with skyline experience in the Sydney area ? JUST-JAP gave me a number to call of one of their trusted mechanics but he never seems to pick up the phone :-) Thanks for reading any help would be much appreciated ! Thanks Pete

Hi guys, just wondering if anyone has ever had to replace the 'Air Intake Sensor' for the Climate Control in their R32's. I've found plenty of posts about people replacing the interior sensor (next to the ash tray), the sun sensor and the ambient sensor, they all seem to be quite easy to find. But I can't seem to spot this 'Air Intake Sensor' anywhere. Does anyone happen to have any photos of what it should look like/where I'd find it? The PDF of the manual that I have doesn't provide a very good photo (it scanned in the entire picture as a black square) -_- Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you in advance!

Hey all, just installed oil temp/pressure gauges in my car. Running a RB25DET NEO and was just wondering what it should be running at. Oil pressure is about 40psi at idle and a bit over 60 at higher revs from memory, this is when car is warm. Temp is around 85-90 degrees once warm and driving. Had a look in the service manual but couldn't find what they should be sitting at. Any info appreciated, cheers!

hey guys just having a random over heating issue and wondering if any of you guys have encountered before?? so my rb25det seems to randomly over heat after i change the coolant. ill take it up the road it will heat right up to 115 degress plus and ill just pull over,turn the car off and let it sit for a few minutes, turn it back on and its back to good again around 85 degress. also sometimes does it if its sit or a few days. what could it be? water pump? blockage?

Hi all, I'm going to be upgrading my auto r34 set up and I'm going to install some new gauges. What do people think about prosport gauges ? Also to install the boost gauge can I use any of the factory wires/ connections ? Lastly does an engine oil temp gauge work for trans temp ?? I can't find any trans temp ones so I was thinking about using an oil gauge and sensor for it ? Cheers guys
