  1. hey guys, just getting a EOI out there for my GTR $60,000 im in no rush to sell it as its been my pride and joy for the last few years but looking at buying a house so just seeing my options. but i will let it go for the right price if your interested drop me a line. also check out my build thread you will notice a lot of work and time has gone into this car and not only a lot of money and parts, quality parts. I never bought any ebay rubbish only ever used branded names. I don't think you need a list as you can read my build thread ( build thread link located in my signature ) if you are really interested that way you can see everything that's gone on and saves us chatting when you could probably find the answer on there... although happy to answer any questions. car right now has 388kw @ 20psi (e85) e flex tune also has a switch with a low boost setting aswell 314kw @ 14 psi (e85) also make 320kw @ 20psi on 98 for the right buyer the car can come with a lot of extra parts and I even have some stock parts that I have kept also if the new owner wishes to put anything back to stock. don't hesitate to call or txt 0409076032 or pm me here I do shift work so if I don't answer straight away im probably at work or asleep

Hi, Looking for an rb26 head complete but minus the hot side (no turbo's) needs the plenum, acv, iirc (what ever it is) rockers etc. I don't need (if it makes it any cheaper) cams, loom, coils, and injectors, cam cover or rocker valley cover.   4. Hey Guys , So i am faced with that decision to let my r33 gtr 99% finished project go. a bit about it: Bcnr33 5/1997 build r33 gtr Body: Stock apart from resprayed engine bay. Normal Gtr Headlights as xenons which it should have had factory were not with the car. series 1 / 2 front spoiler lip (i have the shittest driveway..) Engine: Early Rb26 block from 89 r32 gtr (was virgin block) had block dipped and tested and machined. r34 gtr crankshaft polished checked and balanced. acl race series engine bearings were used. nismo oil pump was fitted. tomei conrods were used with je forged pistons. tomei baffle fitted to sump. tomei oil restricter fitted to block.fitted arp head studs and acl race head gasket. cylinder head cleaned tested and faced. fitted and clearanced tomei type b poncams. fitted new guides recut valve seats . has vernier inlet and exhaust cam gears. genuine std nissan water pump fitted. gates racing timing belt kit fitted. engine timed cams dialled in. fitted intake manifold, covers etc. new id1000 injectors fitted with adapters. fit push type gearbox. fit orc twin plate clutch. fit engine to vehicle. fit new alloy radiator, fite new belts, fit external oil cooler and lines. has trust greddy twin high mount td05 kit ( both turbos reconditioned) , trust manifold and external gate. aftermarket trust intercooler suit turbo kit. high flow cat and hks 3 1/2 inch exhaust. greddy oil catcher can. Engine Management: Tomei Reytec Rb Fully Programmable ecu and english software and tuning cable.haltech wideband controller Fuel system: id1000 cc injectors (e85 compatible) and walbro intank 420lph e85 fuel pump. Suspension: tein coil overs Brakes: Front Brembos Upgraded to 350mm Brembo Kit Rears Standard r33 gtr brembos nismo brake hose kit Wheels: Rota Torque - (cr Kai copies) kumho 265 35 r 18 tyres Sound System : mp3 head unit alpine splits in the rear and jl splits in the front. Full Security system with auto window closer and other extras ;-) blitz fatt turbo timer car had genuine 86, 956km on it when i got it, since motor build it now has 87770km . it is still on a run in tune and is still running in. boost is down at 13 psi. So... What It needs to be completely fininshed, boot trim carpet (piece that covers battery area) fluids changed (at around 1000km) and a dynotune. and repair crack in front lower lip. i am very sure the car has alot of potential. i am unsure potential buyer would be extremely happy with it as i have put 110% into it. i am not a back yard mechanic i am an auto electrician & mechanic by trades. have a pile of reciepts for much of the parts put into the car. i have simply run out of time, (work related, family etc) and never get the time to drive & enjoy the car . Soo what im looking at chasing for it (alot less than it owes me , but thats cars eh,) is $25,000 ono. with rwc and remainder of reggo. i am not in no rush to sell it, so please no low ballers. please only genuine buyers contact me as no one like wasting time. am looking at the likes of getting a bigger family car (Nissan Patrol) so unless you have something along the lines of that no offers to swap please. no test pilots , there will be no test driving unless you hand over i.d and deposit. think i have covered most of it. any questions just ask, or pm me. thanks

  12. Ive been doing some research on which cams would be the best choice for my situation but not having much luck finding people with the same combo as me. I live in California so Im limited to 91 octane for fuel which means around 18-19 psi. The RB26 will be stock pistons and rods with a T3 divided GTX3682R. Yes I realize going back to twins would be better for response but thats not really an option for me at this point. Ive read a lot of opinions on the Tomei poncams and it seems like its split 50/50. Half the people say they are a waste of money because you dont get enough gains to make it worth the cost and other people say the exact opposite. Ive also read that the stock cams (with adjustable cam gears) are one of the best options for response simply because they are free. lol I really dont care much about peak power if it means losing bottom end, so thats not even a concern its all about the bottom end for me Again I know it sounds contradicting saying that I want bottom end but Im running single turbo but its part of the deal that im working with. Its out of my control. So Tomei poncams or stock? Or anything else that you guys would recommend?
  13. Tomei oil pump failures I tried searching but ran across the spline drive oil pump conversions and hadn't really heard bad press about the Tomei oil pump until then. I read about ONE failure so far and the thread did not provide Tomei's resolution to the pump issue so I'm curious if this is actually a potential problem or not. I have a Tomei pump and am curious if anyone has seen one broken and under what circumstances. I'm limiting my car to 8k, but I do bang the limiter quite frequently and was just thinking about going a bit higher soon. Some say the cause of failure is oil cavitation from temporarily starving the pump (which means a dry sump would be the only real cure), and some say it's simply the 2-flat-drive stock pump orientation that kills oil pumps. I'm looking for actual evidence if possible because I'd like to live the rest of my engine's life in a happy state of knowing the chances of oil pump failure are very slim. Patrick
  14. RB26 Tomei oil baffle - spacer? I've bought an R32 GTR Tomei baffle kit second hand, just the baffle. Now i'm reading the installation manual found on their website I see that what I bought didn't come with fasteners. From looking at the manual (screenshot below) the bolts are straightforward however there is also "spacer" of unknowedness that sits in between. I'd like to know it's specs if anyone has a kit handy or knows what the specification is. Spacer location. Cheers.
  15. R32 GTR Drag Cylinder Head Hi all, New to the forums after a little advice regarding my rb26 head build. Im currently building a r32 drag car and im looking at building a head that will support 1300awhp+ , before anyone asks the rest of the engine and driveline will be capable of the power im chasing i just want to do the head right the first time around I will be starting with a new core. Im thinking about going sum custom cams but unsure who does the best for this sort of an application. What i would like to know is who in australia does the best porting jobs on the rb26 with proven results. Also suggestions on the valve train im looking at ferrea 1mm oversized valves but not sure on what are better in the way of spring and retainer kits. Are ferrea, tomei, and supertech all pretty similar in quality and performance? Are tomei solid lifters and bronze valve guides going to be up there with the best or is there better available? Also ive heard of +2mm oversized exhaust valves being an option but unsure of who makes them.... Any advice or help pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

  17. RB Stroker Kit Reliability & Quality I've been searching for hours, and I probably still missed some good info, but I can't find exactly what I'm looking for. So I have a new bare N1 block. I want to do a 2.8 kit for my BNR32. I don't want to get into an RB26 Stroker vs RD28 or RB30 argument here, lol, I have my reasons for going the route I am, and would rather focus on the info I am after. I mainly want to hear from people who have ran any stroker kit such as Nitto, Spool, JUN, Tomei, HKS, Etc (with mileage & power numbers if possible) their experiences in terms of driveability, power delivery (obviously dependent on turbos as well), and most importantly, reliability over time. I've been leaning towards Nitto, because I want to keep as long as a connecting rod as possible (I think the Spool 2.8 kit also has the factory length rod as well vs a shorter rod like the Tomei kit for example), for things such as increased dwell, decreased piston speed and side loading. I've read that Nitto (and Spool) outsource some of the parts (the crank itself I believe) to China, which isn't necessarily a deal breaker, but it does leave me a little hesitant. With that said, I know the majority of "Japanese Brands" also outsource their manufacturing (primarily to Taiwan in my experience). It all really comes down to quality control, which is why I'd like to hear from owners of said stroker kits and engine builders who've installed various brands on their experiences.

  19. TOMEI old school boost gauge! Anyone know to how wire it up? Hi all I have this old school Tomei boost gauge with recall function but i have no idea how to wire it up, would anyone happens to know how or know where i can get hold of the instruction manual? Cheers
  20. Good day buddies.... So i have recently installed some Tomei Poncams(Intake 260 9.15 and Exhaust 262 9.15 lift) for my engine (RB25DET NEO).... After they were installed i never checked the shim clearance(p.s shims are above bucket type), due to it being drop in cams and my buddy who installed them never had to re-shim. Unfortunately after i started the car i heard a ticking noise from the back of the head and then investigated the reason of the noise. For a second i taught it was the body oil used(20w50) and i live in the caribbean. So i change the oil to 10w50 and the noise reduce a bit but was still there... When i pop the cam cover and check the clearances this was the results. *Exhaust * Numbers are in "thou" reading 1.0.019 2.0.019 3.0.019 4.0.019 5.0.020 6.0.020 7.0.020 8.0.020 9.0.020 10.0.20 11.0.20 + 0.011 12.0.018 tight or 0.017 AS Tomei recommend there clearances to be .018 thou mine reads close to Nissan specs and never did any head work.... but for when i checked the clearance on valve #11 and #12 i notice that was the problem.... What can cause that such big clearance #11 and tight clearance on #12 ....Btw this is a stock head and never done any head work as my goal was to just see how long the engine can last....

Skyline r34 gtt (rb25det neo) I just installed some tomei poncams type b 260 degrees 9.15mm lift and as stated by tomei no need to upgrade the valve springs. i also installed the adj cam gears but only the exhaust side would fit, intake cam gear didnt match the intake camshaft. so i just used one old and one new the timing is perfect and the knock is only on idle and coming from the exhaust side. at first i thought it was the CAS but not too sure. im running stock afm and injectors at the moment but will upgrade once the knock has gone and it hasnt been tuned yet but that shouldnt cause a knock. any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.
  22. Has anyone got any Tomei throttle coat that I could use for 5 mins to reseal my itbs? Closer to central coast nsw the better. Need ASAP or is there an alternative to use that will do the same job

  24. Is it possible that tight valve clearance on the exhaust side can cause little to no vacuum on idle...... This is regards to a RB25DET NEO i got...Re done the head installing tomei 1.2 head gasket and lapp over the valves however after that was done the intake side was at nissan specs of 0.012 and the exhaust is way tighter(0.014 to 0.015) on all 12 of the exhaust... will this cause such issue... secondly my last chance was to check to see if my timing was off Running tomei poncams 260 9.15 Intake and 262 9.15 Exhaust
