Hi all Forgive me if there is a thread already somewhere covering this, I had a quick search but couldn't see one. I need to get some new tyres for my 1999 C34 RS4S which is sitting on the stock rims at present. I went to get some KU31s only to be told they are discontinued. I went to another store and was recommended Dunlop LM703s which seem to get mixed reviews. Any recommendations as to tyres worth looking at? Thanks Tim

Hi guys, I was putting my tyres back on last night and was shocked to notice pretty severe cracks/cuts on one of them - only to find more damaged tyres soon after. Two of the tyres have deep cracks (front right and rear left) and one has less severe ones (rear right). See photos below. These are good quality tyres, Goodyear F1 Asymmetric 2 in 235/45R17, manufactured in late 2011. I bought and installed them new in Jan 2013, and they have only about 15,000 kms on them. I'm running BC BR coilovers and stock 17" R34 GTT wheels with 20mm spacers. I've checked all clearances several times and can't see where it could rub, certainly not on the inside. If only the fronts or the rears were affected it would make more sense, but that's not the case either. What could be causing this? New shoes/tyres I know this has been asked many times but hoping for some current advice on new tyres for the V36. car: V36 Coupe SP Manual with the standard 19's I think these are rim specs but not certain. UTQG 140AA, weight 30 lbs., tread depth 10/32" Currently running Bridgstone RE050A's and they were OK except a little noisy. It's a bit hard to compare as they are the only tyres I've had on the V36 but it's inline with what I have read. Now the rears are closer to the wear markers and winter is kicking in (and thinking they are old...), the traction is not great any more and on some occasions terrible if the tyres are cold even in the dry. Cornering seems OK but any throttle and the car likes to over-steer. Fun but not ideal when not trying to with the misses in the car ha ha. I can now hit it in first gear with the clutch already out and chances are the rears will spin in the dry and in a straight line. I am looking at the Bridgstone RE003's on the standard 19's. Would I get away with 245/40/19 on the front, over the standard 225/45/19? The same on the rear, or a wider 275/35R19 on the rear? Doesn't appear the 225/45/19 is available in them. Or doI go the bridgestone S001's? The fronts are available in the s001's. Do I go wider anyway? Or stick to OEM sizes on the OEM rims? I was originally wondering about Toyo r888's and also a few other higher wearing tyres but thinking the RE003's are a good balance. Any other suggestions? I am not brand loyal other than considering two bridgestone tyres above. I hope to track it in the near future, but the car is mainly a daily so don't want to base it purely around track times. I'm prepared for some wear if it means decent grip however.

Hello, so the title pretty much explains it. I know there is a lot of information about fitment on the net, but all I found was different opinions and no correct info as some say it will fit without problems, others say that fender rolling will be required. I own a r33 gtst spec 1. No particular mods apart from final konnexion coilovers. I got a really good deal on some wheels which are 18x9.75 et20 all round. Was wondering would they fit on my r33 and what would be the widest tyres that would fit on them without fender rolling? Thank you for your time!

Hi! anyone here who has Toyo and Nitto tyres on their car? Is it true that certain Toyo tyres are similar to Nitto? If i'm not mistaken it's the R888 and NT01. Some say both the tires have the same compound even though there's a price difference. Can anyone confirm if both tires have the same compound on a different carcass? I've read that Nitto is a subsidiary of the brand Toyo.

18" Rays forged on GTST I've just swopped the Rays Forged 18" wheels that was on my 350z with the 19" deep dish wheels on my GTST. The tyres on the front are 225/45/18 and the rears are 245/45/18.The Rays were fine on the Z but rub badly on the GTST. The fronts seem to touch the wheel arch liners. Not sure about the back.ET is 33 front, 30 rear iirc.Are the tyre sizes wrong?

Ok so I'm kinda fond of the Idlers style big lettering on the side of the tyres. What's the best way to achieve this? I'm assuming a lot of these are stencil + rattle can jobs but surely there are other ways? Is there anyone in Oz doing something similar to http://www.tirestickers.com/ ? Hi, I’m having an issue with my 2003 V35 skyline. I have only recently had some new tyres put on the car as the previous tyres were on the way out. While they were getting fitted I was told that the front passenger side wheel has a noisy bearing. Driving it around now there is a significant amount of road noise coming from that particular wheel. The other thing I have noticed is when I turn a corner left, the noise disappears, when I turn right the noise changes to a sort of rotating "whummmmp whuumppp" (I guess?) type noise...this particular noise seems to come from everywhere. While the new tyres were being fitted the guys there said I have a very noisy wheel bearing on the passenger front wheel. Could that explain the excessive road noise? Secondly in regards to the other tyres could it be the wheel alignment that is out? I had one done when the tyres were fitted. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I had bought a spare set of these for my 33, no longer have the vehicle or use for them, only changed the rears to do a track day. 1 x pair of brand new 245 40 18 Kumho KU36 tyres for sale. 6mm tread depth semi slicks 1 x pair used 275 35 18 Kumho KU36 tyres for sale. Tread on the 275's is 5.6mm outside edge, 4.8mm in the middle and 4.0 on the inner edge. one of the 275s has a screw bung in it as per pic, been in for about 6months without leaking so never repaired it properly. These tyres have not been used on a track, plenty of life left. I had both these sizes on 10" rims $400.00 the lot, prefer pickup due to size. Located just north of Brisbane. I got a set of Falken Azenis ST115 265/35 R18 (4) in very good condition. 2 Tyres have at least 90% tread left, the other 2 have at least 85%. All the tyres still have the tyre hairs on them which shows how new they are. Taking up too much space in the garage and dont need to run big tyres any more. These cost me $1400 new Price. $450 ono Located in Canberra and pick up is preferred but if you can organise freight then I dont mind. Cheers

I want to swap these wheels with some 17"-18" lightweight wheels and good tyres. Will pay up to $500 on top. 19" Sport Max two tone wheels. 85% tyres up front, 65% rears. Some bubbling on the paint on one of the wheels (see pics). Very good condition otherwise
