  1. Hi guys, any recommendation for reputable and good mechanics/workshop for an inspection on a R34 GTR in Brisbane (North area) ? Thanks in advance!
  2. hi all Has anyone ever had work done at Paul Pavlou Motors in Thebarton? http://www.paulpavloumotors.com.au/ Now, i have seen some of the work coming out of there which as far as i know is top notch, allot of high end cars like old school muscle, race cars such as drag cars and gt40s ect and high end work and retunes on new v8s and HSV ect with in house dyno tuning. luckelly for me there close to work. now, i have seen a few high end imports go through there too such as 34 GTRs and other gear, expensive looking gear. oddly i cant find them referenced on this forum or almost any other from google searching ect. im expecting them to be expensive but thats just my guess, anyone know there workmanship, are they experienced with an RB26 and tuning jap gear? let me know if you have used there services and if you would recommend them over the well known SA tuning joints. thanks for your time.
  3. Hi all, Yes, I know that this topic has been started 100 times. And yes, before you say it I know that there is the workshop listing stickied in the SA section. However, none of the previous topics or the recommended workshops satisfy my query. In short, I have substantial damage to one of my rear guards (dent about 20mm deep about the size of a small football) right on the body line of a 32. Each thread I searched through had a recommendation for crash repairers of some type, quickly followed by a person coming along and saying "don't use XXXX. They're crap" or the like. As you could understand, this becomes frustrating as all my previous workshops I have used I have had issues with their work. I want the job done PROPERLY first time. Do it once, do it properly! Is there any recommendations which people can make (or PM me with!) about getting these problems with my car sorted? Cheers, David
  4. Workshop near St Kilda for general maintenance/fixes? Hey guys, tried posting in the workshop thread but I don't think anyone looks there anymore. After a workshop in/around St Kilda area to do some general maintenance/repairs to my C34 Stag. Got a newborn due in a couple weeks and ran out of time to do it myself, need the car reliable again before she arrives. Needs brake booster replaced (should I get it on ebay first?), fluids done, the usual "I've ignored this crap for way too long and just been having fun" stuff, and a general check-over before trusting it to family duties. Asked a local mechanic down the road and he said he doesn't touch imports. No idea why. I'm not to keen to drive it too far with brakes spongy, so something close would be awesome. Thanks.
  5. I don't really contribute hear at all but I need an opinion. I've had a RB30/Neo 3.4 Stroker built at a workshop. Whilst at the workshop the shop relocated. The mechanic wanted me to pay a towing fee between his old and new workshop, I did although didn't think it was fair. Then he got in trouble for having too many cars at his new workshop so he had it moved to my house whilst the engine was being built, I paid towing once again. And now the engine is back in and the piping work needs to be done. He has it being towed to some other workshop to be done and wants me to pay towing again. Towing too and from $70 each time! I don't think this is right/fair. What do you think? What should I say or do?
  6. Hi all, I want to know what are some good engine machinists that you guys have gone to get work done on your RBs. I'm currently building a RB30/25DET Neo and I want a machinist that has experience and knowledge in RB engines. Thanks.
