  6. Hey all, I'm trying to get some answers for a (very tentative) VH45 swap somewhere down the line and need to get some stuff sorted before I get too carried away. I've been doing some reading on Z32/R3X hybrid gearboxes that'll take a lot of trouble out of the driveline side of the swap, however obviously most if not all this info pertains to the manual side of things. I plan on retaining my auto. Hence I have a handful of questions. I'm still very much a beginner when it comes to all this so please bear with me if some/all of them are stupid. Currently my plan is R34 NA shifter section + gearset -> Z32 bellhousing -> adaptor plate -> VH45DE engine 1. Probably the most important question, is there a difference between the auto and manual bellhousing in a Z32? I've heard the NA and TT manuals are different (same bolt pattern, need to shave down some metal on the NA to fit the beefier TT flywheel is my understanding) and the NA and TT autos may be different lengths 2. Will the rear half (the shifter section, is there a more technical name) of my RB25 NA's auto gearbox bolt up to the bellhousing of the Z32? I've seen a manual RB rear end bolt up to a manual Z32 bellhousing with no dramas but not an auto 3. Can I use the gearset from my NA's/the Z32's gearbox for the hybrid?
  7. When do I *need* to get a z32 afm on a 20det? Hi I am trying to get 200kw out of my 20, have got: 444cc gtr injectors, gtr fmic, kinugawa td05H 8cm, walbro 255 and nistune. Will I get 200 or near kw with the stock afm? Only asking because there are heaps of different answers on the forums with people saying you can go up to 250kw with stock and some people saying you will only get to 190kw?
  8. Soooo, I have a s2 rb25 in a stagea. Power FC, splitfires, z32 afm, td06, nismo 550cc injectors, gtr fuel, tuned at 18psi. Has been running fine for 6 months until yesterday it has developed a misfire under load and full boost. Seems ok at very light load and cruising. Has constant miss when you stand on it and try and rev it out, also get a lot of black smoke out back. Knock doesn't go above 18 with this happening. I checked injector value in pfc and it got up to 90% just once, normally around 68-70% WOT. AFM voltage with car off is 0.42v according to the power fc and 1.72v at cruise approx. I took plugs out (bpr7es gapped at 0.7), and swapped with some other spares I had laying around (not new but known working) and made very little difference. I sprayed all the vac lines and hose clamps with brake cleaner but no change in idle speed. I did find 1 loose hose clamp after the turbo outlet under the air filter, but after tightening that, no change has been observed. It was dark when I got into changing the plugs so I couldn't inspect the coil packs thoroughly. Might get around to it on the weekend. Any suggestions.
  9. RB26 package value? Hi guys To cut a long story short, I have a Laurel with a 26 in it and the engine isn't registered to the car nor engineered. I have a few RB20's in various states and am reasonably tight for funds so thought I might sell the 26 off and put a 20 in for more legality and $. Here's where SAU helps: I can't find any RB26 packages for sale to get an idea of a price without ripping myself off or anyone else! I'd either sell it complete or part bits and pieces off it. Internals are unknown, will pull the sump off and have a look when the engine is out. Specs are as follows RB26 internally unknown, runs quietly and smoothly and does all the right things Trust (or copy?) stainless manifold HKS gate Garrett T04Z pretty sure 0.82 rear Power FC tuned very poorly, was told it's a "run in tune" Bigger injectors but unknown specs Twin Z32 AFM's genuine Trust Y pipe to suit Missing coil pack cover I think that about sums it up Any help would be greatly appreciated.   12. Hi all, Once again i've come to you in need of some help. My car ('93 R33 gtst) has recently started playing up, in the last month or so what's been happening is under load, full boost and high rpm, the engine light has been flashing. I've done alot of reading up on this and found that it is serious and requires attention. So this is me attending to it The mods on my car are as follows, Power FC Splitfire Blue jackets Boost T Currently running 12psi Highflowed turbo (OP6-hypergear ~480hp?) Greddy Front mount Bosch 040 Custom 3" straight pipe all the way through Standard injectors Standard afm What happens is when the car is warm (water temp ~82-84c) and I open throttle in either 1st or 3rd, from about 5000rpm the engine light will give me about 4 or 5 consecutive flashes. On the pfc display I get a peak knock reading of anywhere between 85 and 130. I don't have a wideband so i dont know what my afr is but I'm quite certain its leaning out badly. The guy i bought the car from said that it was tuned to 15psi (which i now think is bullshite) so running it at 12 psi shouldn't be causing it to knock so much. I'm in the process of getting a z32 and nismo 740's What i need to know is should I go ahead and keep driving it? Should I get it retuned? Should I wait until i have the afm and injectors then get it tuned? Just some advice would be nice as a mate of mine just blew his engine which had similar issues previously. The parts are Rb25det series 2 long motor, good condition. Also has new standard headgasket. I have to series 2 loom and spitfire coilpacks that will come with it beacuse i have no need for them now. Price is $1100 Freddy copy intake manifold with 1000cc injectors and Q45 throttle body Sold GTX3076r turbo kit, i used this for about 30mins because i broke my lower control arm first session out so its basically brand new. I bought it from ATP turbos in the States. Apexi power fc with commander MINES ecu Presumably stock ECU with kakimoto racing sticker on it Z32 AFM's with hard pipes and HKS filters (painted black now to match the rubber) Original AFM's, mounting tabs are damaged on one of them but both were OK when I removed them Stock ignition coils with mounting aluminum thingy Stock ignition amplifier Aerocatch hood/panel fasteners, carbon look, recessed version Might have some more things I want to get rid off, will update if I find anything. I have no idea what's reasonable regarding pricing, saw another Apexi that got sold for 700 aud, so lets say 700 aud including shipping for mine (excluding import fee's). The rest?
