I guess its what you prefer more but i disagree, heaps of torque in the gtr motor makes it very hard in a rwd car specially with my 2way. just trying to corner fast means i have too slow down a bit more than and accelerate latter than say a r25 with a big turbo and more lag. thats just what i found but im no expert by all means, and still quite young with driving experience but i would rather have bought a gtr motor in a gtr would have made the driving experience more better personally.

the GTR motor isnt making "that much" more than an RB25

If the power delivery is reasonable liner there shouldnt be a lot of issue.

I ran 270rwkw in my HR and had no traction problems. Foot control

The funny thing on that thread is that the guy that was looking for the owner of the green car, is the guy selling this car, he apparently bought the number plates of the green car.The car has been tuned and with RB26 and was installed at Ice Performance, engine out of a 98 R33 Vspec only a few months back. It has been registered with Vic Roads with the new engine and looks and drives pretty good apart from the veilsaide body kit.

n is it white?

n is it white?

Hey guys, thanks for all the replies and yes it is white and i am not sure what happened exactly to the engine but all I know is that went HARD in first and was too late changing into second. I know, have a laugh cause thats what i did, but hey, the best $5K I have ever spent as far as fun factor for about 2-3 seconds. I will let you guys know what happens over the next few days or weeks and I am with PIMP DAT on the foot control thing, has a mind of its own obviously with blowin up my GTR.

Hey Guys, Looking at gettingn into an 95GTST with a RB26, Pwr FC, and a few other little things. Its a melb car no plate "HOTLNE" I am not sure any of you know it but if you do can you give me a heads up and also what problems may i come accross with a RB26 install on a gtst? Thanks.

    • Update all   thanks to the workshop manual, it lead me back to checking fuses as mentioned central locking and door open lights worked when acc was switched on. diagram attached shows two points of power 1. ACC and 2.  Batt with the later being fused (#28) I did check the fuses using a multimeter but I must have stuffed that up also. Went back and checked the batt fuse in interior fuse box and you wouldn’t believe it… a blown fuse. replaced fuse and everything is now working as it should including the climate control   thank you all with your positive insight and knowledge.
    • Where is the warning "That this thread is super old"   I just went into a 5 year old thread, went to do a reply, and couldn't see anywhere obvious a warning of it being super old
    • Duncan is correct. Pitwork (and Toyota's own cheap brand "Drive Joy") were primarily created as brands to sell other manufacturers car parts. It would be weird if Nissan sold parts for Toyota vehicles with a Nissan logo on it, so they created Pitwork to sell parts for other brans Toyota, Honda etc. They are not the same as Nissan genuine parts, although they *do* meet Nissan's standards for replacement parts. They aren't supposed to be a substitute for genuine parts, but a cheaper alternative that is better than Ebay fake parts from you-know-where.
    • Thanks GTSBoy, much easier to work with it now it's free!
    • I _think_ that one has a christmas tree or some other retainer spike into a hole in that panel under it. Come in under it with thin scredrivers and just pry it gently up. If you rip the ears off the retainer pin....so what? Just stick it back down after with a bit of race tape and carry on with life.
