Just a put on pair of new tyres on the rear of the GTR and the front wheel torque dial is now showing up to 10. It only used to go up at all when accelerating really hard or in the wet.

I used to have 235/45/17 all around but now the have 255/40/17 on the rears. Could the change of wheel diameter be doing this and if so, is it harmful?

Yeh thats your problem.

Have the same size tyres on all 4 and your problem will go.
