Hi guys im interested in buying a 97 stagea but i havent actually seen a manual one there all auto's so i wondering if anyone knows if they actually came out of the factory as a manual aswell? If not has anyone does a conversion to a manual for these cars and was it hard to do or not worth doing?

You should go to the stagea discussion section, lots of information in there...as far as im aware stageas 96/97 were only made in auto.... series 2 came in manual...some ppl have done a manual conversion to their 97 stag's but you can check that out in that section...coming across manuals are pretty rare and can be quite expensive....lucky enough to have a series one auto and a series 2 black manual in our driveway

No, the 97 was the series 1, only available in Auto. thre are quite a few of us in the process of doing manual conversion, myself included. they're not too hard, as now we all have the part numbers for what bits you need. if you like manuals then yes it's definately worth doing. try and find a cheaper stock stagea and then convert that, it'll be much more beneficial.
