Hey people. I have posted this question in another thread but

need more input please. I have read through the thread on

tyres how would you rate them and there are so may different

opinions. I am currently running Hankook Ventus 225/50/16

and i must say they are rubbish (also i know they are cheap).

With 192RWKW is it possible to get a street legal tyre that

will grip with no or very little wheel spin. I am sick of ringing

tyre places just to have every single one saying different things.

Im happy to spend the $$$. I just want to make the right choice

the first time without wasting money on crap.

What situation are you talking about? Traction on the race track or drag strip?

Race track, Bridgestone RE55's are a great option and stick like glue once up to temp. Me and my dad cut 4sec a lap from our time around Wakefeild race track with these tyres alone.

Drag strip, Nitto Drag Extremes are the best street tyre for the strip IMO, as close to a slick as possible while still being a street legal tyre.

Once you get some decent power your going to need some seriously good rubber. I run Toyo RA1's which is an R compound tyre in the same league as RE55's. I run them full time on the street and the grip is superb. With street tyres i had traction problems in 2nd gear coming under boost and dont even think about 1st gear, waist of time. With the RA1's, i get traction in first gear on the street. Your no longer scared of 4wds at the lights.

If you want to try a pair there is a guy that sells Yoki's R series compounds that come off the Brute utes. He flogs them off for about $100 each half worn, might give you a feel of them.

federal ss595. cheap and good.

good for mid nines on a gtr

having generic "tein" s wont help. the more power you got the more time you are gonna have to spend setting up the rear end.

ie. subrame pinaples etc andeling the diff for more squat etc

please dont go out and get semi's coz they dont work till there hot. and are dangerouse for the street
