Just had a crazy idea:

How about a Blow off valve that we can turn off when we need to ?

E.g. cruising through a booze-bus or something.

Has anyone thought about simply putting a tap/solenoid on the manifold vacuum line to turn off thier BOV ?

Wouldnt it be cool if you hooked that up to a switch in the cabin.... just in case police prescence scares you ?!?!

I'd be interested to hear what you all think :P

the only problem with that is if you block that line, the +ve pressure from the turbo will then keep the BOV open.

what you need to do is the other way round and block the pipe from the inlet track to the BOV so no boost can come out that way.

good idea though, the best method is to keep the foot off the accelerator :)
