[syd] Hks Fcd And R34 Gtt Smic (upgrade For Stagea, R32, R33, Cefiro)

Recommended Posts

Hey all, I have for sale 2 items today.

1. HKS Fuel Cut Defencer/Defender - $100

Standard type with 4 wires that can be wired to any car with an airflow meter and ECU. Check out November Hot4s to see the jump from 157rwkw to 194rwkw when R&R/boost cut/fuel cut was removed.

2. R34 GTT SMIC Intercooler with Shoud and Pipes - $220

Good for up to ~200rwkw. Perfect non-fuss upgrade for those who want an ample power output with mild mods. I believe it fits perfectly into Stageas, R33s and Cefiros while R32s need minor mods to fit. Pictures of difference between standard Stagea and GTT SMIC.

What happened is, R&R was occuring thus limiting the cars actual full potential. i.e. once power began to build up R&R kicked and hence didn't allow a true powerband.

So by removing this limit/ceiling a full power run could be made.

SMIC still for sale as well.

    • we call that Stage Maatouks. Drive in 200kW, drive out 1000kW
    • Had a quick play over the weekend.  Finished off a few small jobs on the engine (fit the oil baffles and splash guards into the valve covers, fit starter motor, alternator, etc) before it's ready to go back into the engine bay.  Onto re-wiring the whole shit-show again soon, oh joy.....    Also had a bit of a play with firewall insulation.  Very hard to gather anything from the pic below as it looks completyely shit but hoping to use it to neaten the firewall but also to hide the brake hoses behind it as well.  I was going to completely re-route the hoses but if I can hide them behind the head shield and still look nice then I'll go that way.  I think I'll still re-route the brake lines to some degree.  Will probably use flexible braided hose just to allow a bit more flexibility moving the hoses around.  I'm thinking I may hide the wiring loom behind the shielding too for heat protection and for neatness. Once I get the brake pipes out of the way and trim the shielding around the trans tunnel it will look a lot neater.  I think I will probably powdercoat the shielding black if I end up using it.  The sheeting from Car Builders website is really easy to work with.  will probably use it in other places too.
    • We don’t build cars in stages, that’s a euro thing. Look up maatouks racing on Facebook because if you go to them they’ll guarantee you 1500hp.
    • Found an hour free from the kid & wife, decided that I needed to have a selectable rev limter for skid pans (which I go here and there). Knowing a high RPM on a wet skid pan will just result in too much wheel speed, having a selectable mang mang limiter essentially will limit the wheel speed when I'm bashing 2nd gear   1x can button, 4x limiters: 7000 rpm 7500 rpm 8000 rpm 8600 rpm
