as topic states... how much does a manual box weigh?????

RB25DET ~60kg on the good old bathroom scales (weighed it last week for shipping purposes)

The rb25 is aroudn that weight give or take depending on if it's got oil.

The R ugly poo box is about 40 kg or so from memory. That's why it's so weak. Everything in it is smaller.

just wondering, besides the differences in weight? what other differences are there between the r32, r33 and r34 gearbox. like are there any differences in the look of each of the three gearboxes. because i want to know how can u tell what gearbox u have?

Pictures of each gearbox would be great and highly appreciated.

Yeah, the 32 one is physically tiny. Like when you see it, it looks almost like an sr20 box.

The r33 one is physically bigger. I have not compared an r34 box with an r33 box.

That's because it IS an sr20box apart from the shifter location

Ohh so the box in the magna's is stronger than the rb20 box, spose it is newer and needs a larger/stronger box or the whale won't move
