Hey, i recall reading that certain skyline engines have issues with atmo bov's. I'm currently in the market for a bov but don't wanna shell out money for something that's gonna cause issues with my engine.

Any suggestions on what bov to get for the RB20det? Is there an option on some bov's to switch them to plumback if the atmo venting is causing problems?

Thanks

EDIT: Also, does a plumback blow off valve make an audible noise while driving? If it doesn't, then i guess i may aswell stick to the stock one for now?

The only issue (noticeable issue that is) my RB20det has with the atmo bov is that if you try to hold the revs around 4000rpm it flips out and jerks around a lot, like it gets air then doesnt, then gets air, then doesnt etc.

It is a Sard R2D2 and I have no stalling/idling issues.

P.S. It will be for sale as soon as I get the standard bov back on :(

Approximately how much will it be for sale for?

People have issues mainly dependant on driving style.

I know some people that have issues, and some that dont. But they drive differently to each other.

So take the chance if you feel the need.

Just to note: there is no performance gain by removing the stock one, just to clear that one for you

1. Keep the stock BOV.

2. Yes some aftermarket BOV have both atmo and plumb back outlets.

3. PLumb back BOV (including the stock one) make a noise when driving, especially if a pod filter is fitted too.
