Hey guys, where could i find a low jack and some decents stands for when i put my car up on stands. and what is a good price to look at?? also where are the jacking points on the car (front and back) also where can i put the stands so i can have all four wheels off the ground.

pretty sure you can pick these up from supercheap/repco/malz/any other auto place. point for jacking see infront of your rear wheels on the chassis there are points and behind the front wheels.

The spots behind the front wheels of my car are very weak, I have damaged the underside of my car by trying to jack the car up here . I now use a rectangular piece of MDF to place between the jack and my car to avoid further damage to my baby....

yeah its a trolly jack but its very low so it can get under a low car. what about the stands?? pics would be greatful

stands you wanna spend a decent amount on cause thats whats holding the car from falling on you so you would want to spend some decent $$$ probably purchase them frmo like autoone or conventys

ive found the best bet is a couple of scafold planks and afew bricks to make a ramp forward onto then jackup from the diff and place stands under subframe

the stands are homemade using heavy materials and qual welder mates and the jack is just a supercheap trolley jack

low jacks are bulk expensive scafold planks are free aquired from site

Similar to above, but using a half brick and then a full brick under one side. Then the trolley jack slides in nicely to the crossmember.

Use the beefiest stands you can though, if you are going under the car, make damn sure it can't move on you..

i will need a good quilty jack. like one the is long and low. i will be using it a lot and i reckon it will make work on my car a whole lot more eaiser cause i will be under it. and it might come in some time that i will have my car on stands overnight. i am willing to spend up to 500 on the jack. so like anywhere here sell em or do i buy of the net??

SnapOn make an awsome one under the Blue Point name is without a toubt one of the lowest trolleys jacks i have ever seen.

When dropped down the front of the jack is about 40mm high but they still raise up to about 500mm if i could afford it i would buy one straight out.

I made some little MDF wood ramps to get a lil extra clearance when jackin my car. Very simple just 3 piece of 15mm MBF all cut at diffrent lenghts then glued on top of each other. Then stuck a piece of rubber mat on the bottom to stop them slipping on the concrete as i drive up onto them. very effective and i have been using the same ones for about 5 years now.

you can get the aluminium racing jacks eg trolley jacks from gentronics in welshpool nice and light not like the normal ones
