yeah correct i just stumbled accross an old brochure from my 2004 autosalon trip. (looking business cards i stashed somewhere from that year)

It needs Watanabes, or wire wheels.

And yeah, those wheel arches (and wheels) need to be a lot bigger for the vehicle to be in the right proportion.

the Le-Seyde's actually based on the design of a real classic car, a 1934 Mercedes-Benz 500K.

Also keep in mind these are made in japan's awesome "engineering standards"... and the chassis rails are extended by a couple of feet... and the front wheels are relocated.
