Manifold Spacers

Hey guys,

Im going to look into making a manifold spacer.. done a bit of reading on them.

We have a high def plasma cutter at work, would there be any interest if i was to make them up as a kit??

Ill personally try a few different thickness' first and do some back to back dyno readings to see if they are actually worth while. We can only cut mild steel at the moment, but if they work well ill order in the extra gas required and appropriate thickness alloy plate to make them out of.

from what i've read, all they do is increase the air in the manifold and thus lean out mixtures across the rev range

i'd personally rather a unichip or equivalent to do that..

but they're quite popular in the US

Sort of, my understanding is that they increase the plenum volume which (insert scientific explanation here) somehow makes the engine breath better/easier?? Which the standard computer cant compensate for.. So combined with some sort of aftermarket management u should see even bigger gains...
