NRV155
When i put my car in reverse it doesnt seem like the clutch is releasing all the way, you can hear sounds which i think is the gears still turning and you can feel it through the shifter. Is it that my clutch cable just needs adjusting? If so, is it an easy job? Sometime its a little hard to put into gears and it squeaks like hell every time i press it. My clutch isnt slipping or anything either, i can still dump it and it grabs. Bl4cK32
32's have a hydraulic clutch setup, so no cable. Under the dash you can adjust the pedal throw, so maybe take a quick look under there and check out the pedal box at the same time. The boxes have snapped (mine and about 5 others i know) have done them. Squeaking and weird noises from the pedal are a early sign. NRV155
Looks normal under there. Squeaks are from under the car and not the pedal. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/205315-clutch-question/#findComment-3641882 Share on other sites

I had another look under the dash and like i said, everything looks fine but what your saying about the throw, i only have little thread left to adjust. Is the clutch supposed to be level with the brake pedal? I can only adjust it by a few turns and then it will be close to the end of the thread. What u reckon i should do, leave it or adjust it a bit? Is a couple of turns worth it though? Bl4cK32
adjusting the pedal only simply affect where the friction point is for your pedal. If you have only a little bit of adjustment left id be thinking that there would be some clutch issues.. Have u ever had the clutch out? NRV155
Not since ive owned it (5 months). Never had an issue with it where its been needed to be pulled out. I should just wait until it breaks, if its going to, and just replace?
