its not metal just rubber hosea bit bigger than a vac hose, that comes out of the bov and back to the turbo(i think, cant see the end of it) maybe it does lead to metal pipe i cnt remember. i guess ill try just leaving it then i guess! wont do any damage or affect idle/afm?

when I had my skyline it had a plastic COke bottle lid with a hose clamp around it...worked ok..

Mine had that as well, worked perfectly, mine was even black so i didnt even realise what it was till i pulled it out.

anything to block it off. do not leave it open - that will cause you to have an air leak. have fun stalling :D

Must block it off other wise you will be drawing in air that is not measured by the afm.

Gonna sound awsome isnt it, pull up to a set of lights next to a car full of girls that have noticed the bov noise and are watching you....... and then the car stalls BAAAAHAHAHAHAHA, have fun.

so did your old one break and you couldn't find another standard one, or did you just want to be fully sick uleh, and attract more unwanted attention of the cops, so they hate Skylines even more?

If you install a ATMO bov on a Air Flow Metered car, you're a complete idiot and don't understand how an engine works, and shouldn't be allowed to drive a turbocharged car.

Also, you didn't try to search, there is about 100 threads on this.

Sounds a bit harsh but its all true.

He wants to get the awesome PPPTTTSSSCCHHHH so people turn around and say OMG he's got a turbo bro!!........OMG it stalled bro!!!!

ps. there's genuine reasons why comments like these and the one above are said. Use the search function and all will be revealed.

He did start this thread by asking if he should block off the bov return pipe, that says it all really.

didnt mean to start a row guys jeez, just askin a question that wasnt ans in any of the 100's of threads.i wanted info before i took off the standard one and f,d up my car. but to the people that ans my question thank you, i got a turbo xs adaptor kit and yes indeed it came with a plug for the return pipe. put it on the car last night with my brother-in-law and went for a spin down the road and we pissed ourselves laughing the whole drive, had so much fun even with the bov as tight as it can go it sound funny. no stalling, hunting, nothing runs fine.

only prob is i want to loosen the bov to make more noise but wen i flick the boost up and plant it the top of the bov looks like its going to unscrew itself and pop off, only on 10psi. anyone know how to stop that?

How do you know that its unscrewing itself and going to pop off when you are in the car driving it? :|

I think The Mafia was once molested as a child by an atmo bov or something :teehee: Certainly has issues with them. I 'borrowed' my megasonic of my sis's wrx, my car never stalled once for over 6 months. It's only when idiots get cheapie ones with piss weak springs that have stalling problems. Though i will be going back to plum back purely for the reason i'm sick of defects! :)

back on topic u whoring bastards (mafia trying to get his 200000c in).

what i did mate was cut off a bit of a broom handle, wack it in the hose, clamp it and bam your done.

and as for the stalling issue. this topic is not about that, as many cars do not experience those problem, me included.

i have no doubt now that this thread will now go for days about people spewing their garbage about vta bov's, MAFIA.

u will not win in pushing your beliefs on this bloke, let it go dude, get some work done eh.

    • Yes the gear for the R33/34 is different, it is red and has a different number of teeth. My part didn't come with that gear though, so I don't know how many teeth are on the red one. You'd have to reuse the 260RS/R33 gear, as long as it's not destroyed.   Haha, as unfortunate as that might be it was working fine for about the first 1500km I've had the car for now.
    • Update all   thanks to the workshop manual, it lead me back to checking fuses as mentioned central locking and door open lights worked when acc was switched on. diagram attached shows two points of power 1. ACC and 2.  Batt with the later being fused (#28) I did check the fuses using a multimeter but I must have stuffed that up also. Went back and checked the batt fuse in interior fuse box and you wouldn’t believe it… a blown fuse. replaced fuse and everything is now working as it should including the climate control   thank you all with your positive insight and knowledge.
    • Where is the warning "That this thread is super old"   I just went into a 5 year old thread, went to do a reply, and couldn't see anywhere obvious a warning of it being super old
    • Duncan is correct. Pitwork (and Toyota's own cheap brand "Drive Joy") were primarily created as brands to sell other manufacturers car parts. It would be weird if Nissan sold parts for Toyota vehicles with a Nissan logo on it, so they created Pitwork to sell parts for other brans Toyota, Honda etc. They are not the same as Nissan genuine parts, although they *do* meet Nissan's standards for replacement parts. They aren't supposed to be a substitute for genuine parts, but a cheaper alternative that is better than Ebay fake parts from you-know-where.
