I recommend Ogura ORC Super Single Rated 400hp comes with flywheel but are $1200 delivered - Might as well do it right the 1st time. The are a recommend setup in Japan and I had one in my last r33.

I have a R33 GTST with 220kw which I use for daily driving and drifting

It came with a new Nissan patrol clutch plate which lasted 2 drift sessions then I ran a Xtreme 1200kg pressure plate with Xtreme 6 pluk brass button clutch but the clutch plate burnt out after 5000km. I continued using the xtreme pressure plate but fitted a $175 exeedy 4 pluk brass button clutch and its lasted 20 drift sessions and is fine for street driving. I didnt want exeedy and only fitted the exceddy 4 pluk till my ORC arrived from Japan as I didnt think it would last very long but 20 drift sessions and still going strong.... My ORC is gathering dust waiting to go in.......

Anyone recommend a clutch to use with the factory fly? I'm looking for a HD single plate for 190kw. I saw some good ones from Sliding Performance, the SAU trader, for about $400-50.

NYTSKY is there a reason for going cushion button?

I used the Xtreme cushion button in my car.Awesome clutch, never slipped even at 250rwkw.Took alot of punishment.Had the clutch in my car for a year, only pulled it out due to engine rebuild, still had atleast another 4-6months in it.

Now upgrading to a Jim Berry clutch kit based on the "Full Monty" but different clutch plate.

The cushion button will take a week to get used to,but once you do you will never look back.

EDIT: Do not change the flywheel, just get it machined. The stock flywheel is all you will need.

How different does it feel to standard? Much more agressive uptake?

Thanks again

  • 1 year later...

for ur intended power output i would go a heavy duty organic, 175rwkw does not require a cushion button, although it may be easier on the foot compared to ur choice of heavy duty, an organic clutch will just be like the stock one but heavier
