Hey guys,

Im just wondering how easy it is to remove the cam gear cover. Id assume its just a few bolts here an there but i am concerned that if i remove the cover, will it move or alter any of the gears?

Can i just remove the cover, then simply put it back on without anything changing?

I had a search for it but couldnt find any answers if it is a simple remove and put back on. I would assume it is?

If it like the gtr the only thing u need to pay attention to is the angle of the CAS

Cover comes off, cover goes back on.

It wont affect the gears.

you will need to recheck your timing when you put it back on though as you need to remove the cam angle sensor...

make a mark on the CAS and the timing cover, and put it back perfectly lined up so you don't need to reset the timing and your good

^^ Yup, though having access to a timing gun would give some peace of mind as well.

as someone else said when u remove the cover make sure that u make a mark where it goes back. i no someone that took theres off to show there pretty cam gears had no idea where it went and by accident advanced the f**k outta the time and drove it round for a few weeks wondering what that rattling noise was"pinging like a bastard".
