Sooooooo... Someone Drove Into My Car Today

Hey all

today someone pulled out out from behind a turning car, got my doors even though i avoided them... slight dints and some paint damage.

I have no idea about this process(claiming on their insurance), do i just go to 3 repairers, get quotes, and send them to them to forward to their insurance companys?

I'm more concerned about inside my doors to be honest as my speakers/spacers/dynamat was professionally done, so if i end up needing new doors, it will suck.

Assuming Micolour is the first port of call?

Cheers for any reccomendations and/or guidance.

Ryan

yep spot on, just find 3 places, and be sure to show them your doors and what others changes / work may be required to fix it properly

then send the 3 quotes to the insurance company of the other party

i'll wash the whole car and take date-stamped photos tomorrow. its nothing major, more worried about the paint matching than anything... full respray? :D

poor girl was in tears, spoke to her bf nicely about it.

i just wanted to go back 6hrs and go with my original plan of sleeping all day.

Same sorta thing happend to me.. just get 2-3 quotes.. get them to lodge a claim.. get them to give u the claim number.. call their insurance company.. ask them where to fax the quotes to.. get the quotes faxed and when their client assesses their car and pays the excess thats when they send u a cheque or tell u to go get your car repaired..

Well thats the process thats happend to me.. just waiting on the cheque!!

This days they are more happer to pay you out because it easy for the insurance company, Save time and money because they just sell your car at auction and get there money back that way.
