hey guys i just bought an apexi power fc second hand without a controler and i was wondering do i have 2 get a controler before i put it on my car and do i have to reset it first if so how?

you wont need the controller. recommend you get it tuned though. cos its 2nd hand, it will be tuned to a different car to yours. You could install it but i wouldnt drive too hard until its tuned

I would reset it before you install it just in case.

Find someone who has a hand controller, who is willing to disconnect their pfc and put yours in its place and reset the power fc.

also get them to turn off the boost controll kit option which is available in the etc

then it would be safe to install in your car, if you find the engine light flash's get a tune asap!

im in alice springs i have a mate with an rx7 i could borrow his controller for a lil bit. how do i reset it? no one else in town has a skyline with a power fc apart from some gtr's

Get the model of the h/c he is using. if its the same as the one you need then sure go for it.

i checked that whole thing printed out most of it still cant find anything on how 2 reset them

there is an option called init data or initialise date. that is the option you want which will reset the PFC to the factory Apexi map.

i dont have the hand controler so i cant access the menu's

Get your workshop to install it and then dyno it at the same time, your not going to see any gain in changing it from the stock one until it is tuned anyway
