Aircon Cold At 18', And Hot On Anything Above!

Hey all,

This is driving me nuts and I'm hoping someone else has solved this problem..

On my R33 Gts-t the air con is doing some weird things. When its set to the coldest setting (18 degrees) it blows nice freezing cold air as you would expect,

but as soon as it is adjusted to 19 degrees or above it will only blow hot, not cool air!

Now I'm guessing that is has something to do with a temp sensor playing up, and I know that by holding the 'off' button when starting the car I can enter an air con diagnostics mode but as to what I should look at when in there I'm at a loss!

So if u can help me out please drop some ideas!

I got this same issue... thought it was a bit strange. 18 = freezing, 19 = hot lol

The sensor behind your dash is unplugged. Can't remember exactly which one it is, but it's one of them that plug into the plastic dash surround. Pull it out and check everything is plugged in

There should be a rubber hose which connected to your temp sensor.

make sure its connected, that fixed mine

yes you do.its right behind where the little vent slats are to the left hand side of the steering wheel.

happened to me as well in my 34GTT....try looking for a plug just infront of your radiator...Mine was unplugged, as soon as I plugged it back problem solved.

33's dont get the outside temp sensor

yep little black hose behind the dash, sucks in air with a sensor. its just above your left knee in my R34Gtt
