Is it possible to lock(weld) a viscous type LSD diff on an R32 or do you need an open diff? The reason being i can get a viscous diff pretty cheap lock it up then just swap it over and still have my standard viscous diff as a spare. I dont want to shim the diff as they dont last that long. I've had a mispool in my 31 and used it for drifting for a couple of years and love that so id like to lock the diff in the 32 now.

ive had my diff shimmed with a 1.3mm shim for 6 months of regular abuse and shes still absolutly locked, and thats with a 1.3mm shim, but ye you can weld it up if thats your prefrence, still more expensive than a shim, depending how well its welded, + buying welding rods,
