Is My Heater Core Gone?

Just wondering if anyone could help me out. I have noticed for some time now that i have water dripping from the overflow tap in the fire wall. It only happens every now then but when it does happen it leaves a big puddle. Is that overflow tap a run off for the heater core or is it something else? Thanks

Is it just water? It sounds like your air con over flow pipe, if it is, then there isnt anything to worry about

the only thing is it happens more often than not, even on cold mornings? might be coolent not too sure could be. but its weird only ever had to fill coolent once.

Should be pretty easy to tell, just have a look at the colour. If its clear, i wouldnt worry about it. If its either green or red, then you have a problem. However, it sounds to me like its fairly safe
