Attention all you web designers

Just want your guys opinions on the current job market. I am seriously considering a career change and am really interested in this field. I am currently working in IT support and it is really boring me to death. So yeh give me your thoughts.

If you can go out and find your own work from companies that pay you you can do alright the issues I have is you get the people excited about doing their site you set it up and they cant be bothered getting the information you need for the site as to finding a job doing it a bit difficult I would say every man and his dog is doing it now.

Work for yourself - start by building up clients on the side while u are still working in support.

Then once you have a decent amount of business coming in make the move from support

Niz180 - I've spent 5 years in IT support for a big company on the Coast.

I too am over it, I'd be happy if I never see the inside of a PC again!

A couple of guys on our Helpdesk team are doing what By By suggested and work for them selves. Building up clients and doing the work at night. Once they have enough cliental and then piss off the day job.
