Both the "grain of wheat" bulbs and silicon caps can be purchased easily off ebay, however its hard to see why you wouldnt go with white leds (SMD variety). They are brighter and more efficient.

In any case keep the plastic part of the lights. The bulb is only loosely wired into it, its the part that is meant to be replaced.

I know this thread is over 10 years old now, but it's been useful for me, aside from the different sizes being suggested. The correct sizes are:

• A/C panel buttons - 3x T4.2 (not T4.8 or T5!)
• A/C panel LCD screen - 3x T3

Be aware that the T3s for the LCD screen are quite small in size, LEDs with large diffusers on them might not fit. The LCD screen bulbs can only be accessed by pulling apart the A/C panel unit itself, just a few tabs, but be careful not to break them.
