Apple iMac - Mac OS X 10.6.4 with Windows via Bootcamp (for gaming).

2.66GHz Intel Core i5 / 4GB DDR3

27" Widescreen

Apple Wireless Keyboard/Mouse

Meh, I just got fed up with customised PC setups developing faults and/or quirks that I just went to NextByte and haven't looked back.

running games on the imac is a bit peculiar sometimes, bootcamp does the job of doing windows no problem but I've just felt that games that are compatibile with Mac OS just work smoother.

Force Unleashed: Ultimate Sith Edition is my favourite. Just got it the other week and now I'm waiting for the second one.

Can't comment on the laptops hardware. Never used a Macbook before, not one of the modern ones with the aluminum unibody anyway. My uncle has one of the older series and he's never had any trouble with it.

Ah I see. Yeah I'd agree with that on opening them up. The bloke in the shop who sold the iMac to me stressed several times that unless I had a fair bit of experience dealing with Apple's hardware, it would be much simpler if I just got AppleCare for it.

Glad I did, but I've not had any hardware issues so far, aside from the device emitting a shocking amount of heat.

sifn't get 2x GTX 460's! ATI drivers SUCK

as opposed to leaving features active being a bug in nVidia drivers.

They both make some pretty ordinary drivers.

6000 series out soon, stupid to buy a new graphics card right now of any brand.

meh the 6 series isn't going to reinvent the wheel, and no swapping from ATI to nvidia cards got rid of all of the problems that I had previously, like the newest version of catalyst breaking the f**king video card drivers, and older opengl games not working at all.

I'm in the same boat as Telcontar. Used to build my own PC's (except for an old Apple Powerbook for work)

Got tired of the messing about and jumped ship to a Mac desktop when the new 27" iMac's were released:

IMG_0520.jpg

Specs:

27" Primary Display + and old 22" display mt old Lady's work was throwing out.

i7 2.8Hhz (Desktop Version)

4GB Ram

ATI Radeon 4850 (sadly its the Laptop Variant)

1TB HDD

Bootcamp - Dual Booting OSX 10.6.4 (Snow Leopard) and Windows 7 (x64)

Also use VirtualBox to run Windows XP for old software like FAST.

Logitec G25 3 Pedal+H-Pattern Steering wheel

Saitek x45 HOTAS Joystick
