Best Way To Pull A Rear Window Out?

i wanna get my windows tinted because the 20 year old factory tint looks like ass. but the trouble is one rear window has no motor and the "power window amplifier" for the other has failed, so i cant move either window and the tint guys want to be able to get to the top of the glass.

now i see 2 small bolts holding the window to the drive assembly, if i take these out will i be able to get the window out, and by doing so, will it be near impossible to get the window to sit back in properly? i just dont wanna get stuck with no glass in the back windows.

yes the window will virtually fall out when you undo the 2 bolts holding it to the regulatorerthingy , i've never tried to put one back on with the regulatorerthingy full up but i would assume you can pull it (the reg) out of the door , put the window in , hold the window up with something and put the reg back in and bolt it up :P:ermm:

If you want to use one so it can be RWD only I’m not sure that will work and if it is what you want then using a GTST or GTT gearbox would be a cheaper and easier tho v to use. You can just use the AWD gearbox and leave out the shaft that goes from the transfer case to the front diff for full time RWD. Changing the ecu and wiring just so you can use a nistune? There are better options out there that are plug and play to your existing harness connector and they should all work if you are running a manual instead of an auto.

    • hey guys i have a 1996 r33 gts-4 and i assume the last owner has been playing with the horn and it’s not working i’m not too sure why the horn pad feels almost springy and feels like it doesn’t sit right is there anything else i would need to tighten apart from the two bolts on the side and or plug in? here’s a video of what it looks like 67842678749__9E03EA58-0C80-4CDB-83EE-5BE6F2D07AC4.MOV

They are simple and have massive, massive, massive effects and if you're even remotely interested in driving a car hard, you'll smack your head for not doing sooner. Disappearing in need now as cars get newer and TC technology in OEM's is obviously very competent, but you'll look back at all the years of high powered RWD cars and be like "wtf why only now"
