ok here is what has happened (yes i have searched)

bought car couple of weeks ago, it was raining and the indicator was playing up when i was test driving it ( didn't think it was a big problem) the guy told me it only does it when it rains.

on the way home from picking it up it worked fine up until today.

i pulled it apart as the boost gauge light wasn't working, it is located ontop of the steering coloum between the wheel and the dash cluster. so i removed the panels around the steering wheel and noticed that the wiring for the gauge light was running directly off one of the plugs in the back of the steering wheel (its a brown plug with 3 wires and it was the middle one he used to run the positive light off). the earth wire was the one that came off to start with but i still can't find where that was connected. so i ran a new ground wire from the footwell and connected that..

after that, reassembled everything went to try and see if the light worked and now the left indicator stays on whenever you have the lights on, doesn't matter if its the parkers or normal. if you turn the lights off the indicators work fine.

i found the clicker relay box under the dash for the indicators, unplugged it and the light still stayed on.

also driving home from a bbq tonight the light was coming on and off as to say that there is a loose connection somewhere but i don't know where, everything was connected the same way it was before i touched anything..

i need some guidance if anyone has had a similar problem.

Thanks

Curt
