Defi Gauges

hey guys ive moved my gauges from my dash i un pluged them from the back and when i went to put in the plug for the oil pressure and turn on the car it didnt work what with that im thinking maybe the plug at the back of it has a plit in it because it looks like it was taped back up from previous owner

what does anyone else think ??

it a 32 if that helps

get a multimeter. put it on ohm range.. if u get a reading you should be fine.. if not then you have a break somewhere in the cable.

mulitmeter is a device that checks voltage Ac Dc, ohms (resistance) and other things. if you got money to fork out go dicksmiths they should have an cheap-O one. but if its only a plug like two wires going into it, you could do the dodgy and cut it off both at the male and female of the plugs' and hard-wire it and solder it up and tape it.

I'd be surprised if it's a fuse, they'd all be connected to the same power source so if the other two work then it can't be the fuse. But the multimeter idea is a good one as well. I use the test light cos it gives a yes/no answer.
