was in dilmah's GTR going down the hill at least 10 cars away and ye we saw it. it was beautiful hahahahaha

What a day

The weather was really good to us from a start. You could not of asked for better

And a turn out of 29 cars was great for a winter's Sunday

Let me start by thanking Al for leading and letting me ride shotgun.. :P mate

We kicked of the morning from Sandown and headed up through some nice twistie

roads up through Reefton up in to Marysville. And if it was not strange enough driving

through burnt out forests seeing snow everywhere just topped it.

I hope people got heaps of photo's

Then we headed home through the Black Spur and the Dandenongs

I hope you all enjoyed the day and hope that some of the small dramas we had through

the day wont stop you from enjoying the next one..

And it was great to see a lot of new faces at this one..Thanks guys

And finally thanks to Danielle fror dropping me off at home...

So keep your eyes open for the Hanging Rock Cruise.. ( Comming soon to a car club near you )

Wayne O..

gotta say Ash, even though we took a detour, you got some mad shots though with the snow !

awesome drive, awesome weather, good crowd. boys in blue stayed at bay, couldn't ask for anything else.

time to get some sleep, that drive took a toll . . .. twice $$ :P

sounds like it was a good cruise. im pissed off that i missed it, but im definately up for hanging rock, im about 30 mins away from there.

Hey all

Asian Guy here (not JamesK)

Awesome day today- Wanye-O - thank you for yet again organising a fantastic club cruise with well planned and well thought out routes :)

Hamish - cheers for lettin me ride Shotgun and also for letting me drive a couple times - your car is 10% pure, 90% awesomeness. That Jeep on the Dandenongs didn't know what hit it! lol

JamesK- CB radio was v.handy - cheers for that and good to see you again mate

ItliaZR and Omega 36 - i got the accident photos loaded onto my computer so if you guys shoot me your emails in a PM i will send the photos off to you.

Marysville, such a sad sight to behold, but great to see the number of folks still visiting and doing their part with donations, tourism etc. I'm very proud that we, SAU-VIC, contributed to the re-building of Marysville, especially, Al, Shan, Hamish and the many other ppl that bought raffle tickets and dropped plenty of donations in the donations tins.

That is something that i will take away with me today - that SAU-Vic is more than just a bunch of hoons and wanna be racers. (AHEM 180sx)

BTW - that 180sx was an IDIOT, i feel for ya Omega36 your car was so clean and tidy and now it looks unhappy from the front :P

Was an awesome day and a great experience,

I look forward to seeing all at the next cruise:)

    • UPDATE: Hi all!  As we are getting towards the end of this thread where I’ll showcase final dyno numbers and graph, I wanted to provide an update. Tao from HyperGear has done an amazing job building the custom divided T3 housing for the G30. Communication was flawless, price was great, and now the housing is estimated to arrive in 7-10 days! Very very pleased. I must add, if someone is looking for an affordable turbo and end up reading this thread, I would recommend HyperGear. Genuine brands are the way to go as their proven reliability, predictable performance, and there’s a plethora of information available for specs, flow, and more. This HyperGear recommendation is based on their excellent communication, dedication, and willingness to listen to their customers. I particularly liked their ability to create custom adaptations tailored to specific needs, which is a HUGE benefit over other brands. And if we consider the HyperGear provided dyno results, it adds reassurance knowing their turbos can compete against genuine brands. Next update will be after the dyno!
    • I've previously seen people post up "dress up bolt kits" for RBs but don't remember seeing them specify the full contents. I can only really suggest you grab the verniers and start measuring, and keep in mind the cam cover and timing cover bolts are both quite specific with a wider unthreaded section where the bushes sit, that will make it hard to get aftermarket replacements which tend to be all thread (set screws) or for longer bolts a flat section with a shorter threaded section at the end
    • I believe there was a similar one posted by @duggyphresh. They were re-routing their battery positive cable in the way I am also trying to achieve. Sorry, I’m new to this forum, so was a bit late to the party by a few months and so reignited the old thread, as I wanted to know how they got on with doing it.
