Racepace Motorsport

9/6 Holloway Drive, Bayswater

Ph: (03) 9762 9421

If you work in Bayswater and own a Skyline and need work done.... it's a no-brainer.

People come from all over Victoria (and some even interstate) for Ben to work his magic. He works almost exclusively on Skylines so knows them inside out. Just give him a call and tee up a time.

RACEPACE

Each time I get a service and or work done it is a 2 hour peasant wagon ( tram train )trip each way..... two hours after dropping it off and then two hours to get back out there when it is ready... ( from Port Melbourne )....

Would not even consider taking it any where else but there.

Well MPC is more like race related workshop, they do Australian gt championship cars and as for skylines. They know what they are doing man. Not the cheapest, but is you want your car serviced by the race specialist, I'll take me car down. I know them well coz I make all their lamborghini racecar upgrades parts in carbon. Assure you they are not street entry level.

What's the deal with so many tuning shops being in Bayswater? I think there are like 8 places all within 500 m of each other.

Racepace, Techsport, MPC, Nizpro, A to Z Tuning, RA Chapman, Dynomotive, Advanced Engine Management.

Not to mention the 101 parts/support shops in the neighbourhood. Maybe they designed those few blocks with car tuning in mind, and everyone just congregated there to save money on transport.

If it weren't so friggin far away I would move there. It'd be awesome knowing that whatever car I will ever own in my life, I can be pretty sure one of those guys within walking distance knows how to tune it with parts available next door, and tune it well :D

I only use MPC for my drag Supra. They do almost everything in house.

Tony is one of the best tig welders I've used and can make anything out of any metal. Roll cages, custom mufflers, brake ducts, anything !!!

And dyno tuning Lee Burnley is the safest most reliable tuner I've used. They have a 4WD mainline dyno that I strap my 1000rwkw supra down to and has always got the most safest fastest spooling tunes the car has ever made. Plus they also have everything to make the tune full EPA legal to pass emission tests.

This is the only all in one race shop I trust.

They only employ the best staff one of which is ex v8 supercar engineer who is a true genius.

Give them a shot, you never find a better all in one shop.

Not a fan myself - took a Soarer there to get a flat spot and general lack of power diagnosed - they put it on their dyno and said a dip (not just a plateau) in the graph was normal.

Also, since when did a tune need to be EPA legal? It's the modifications that the EPA/cops dick you on. Emissions tests are just part of the passing process and a stock tune can pass you. You still need to remove the modifications behind all your power.
