is it worth it?

Probably no, GTR injectors (444cc) are the better choice ($200-$300 for a set), they are top feed and just bolt straight in, and just require a resistor pack because they are low impedance

No it is not worth it. When you highflow an injector, most of the time the spray pattern goes to shit and it can mean death for your engine....especially when you start pushing the hp.

It's an extremely stupid idea and the cost of new injectors is not that bad. What's the cost of a new engine?

And I don't think RB20 injectors are able to be highflowed anyway.

rb20 injectors cant be done properly, we get CREATD to do ours (R33) spray pattern is the same as stock so there is no issues there. Of course highlflows have there place, but not in all.

Got any more detailed info of that Trent? (r33 items?).

Not saying i don't believe you, but have you got any spray pattern photo's under various pressure's from base, +10 & +20?

Not that i would use them, just for everyone else to see a bit more indepth information to help with decisions :action-smiley-069:

i'm pretty sure if you wanted to buy some (speaking to prospective customers) CREATD would show you in real time in the test machine like they did for me, i was 100% against highflows until i saw their work...

There are time and places high flows should not be used i and i whole heartedly agree but for guys on a tight budget where 250-270rwkw is the target on a highflow or chinese turbo i cant see a problem, unless the person selling them is pushing them as "the only" solution.

To me running the best brand injectors then using a cheap ecu to control them defeats the purpose, in fact using a decent ecu with highflow injectors yeilds better results.

I suppose what im saying is that everything is relative. Relative to budget, application and execution.

Its too easy to get hung up on the one particular thing, when really the whole setup should be considered more important.

Well ye real time - but not everyone is in the Northern burbs of Melbourne :action-smiley-069:

Would help to dispel a bit of conjecture on the topic.

Perhaps if someone uses CREATD they could get some further pictoral information to add to a "high-flow injectors 101" style of thread about the topic?

Just gets other users from interstate/overseas some useful information to their decision in the overall scheme of their setup/budget.

Try it and see how you go.

Don't point the finger when your engine goes bang.

We test, flow and clean injectors every day, injectors are made to a tolerant, there designed for there intended purpose not to be modified.

When you drill and change the design of the injector the pin-til end can get damaged which will upset your spray pattern = fuel mixture into cylinder.

We have seen a lot of "hi-flowed" injectors that when RETESTED fail.....

yep and ive seen lots of brand new siemens injectors perform terribly.... as i've said everything is relative.

ive been running hi flowed injectors done by my mate for 2yrs now, just shaved and recapped rb25 injectors 350rwhp 20psi and 60,000kms later 9ltrs/100km on highway.. never had a drama..one thing tuner said figures change slighty on idle cause the spray pattern is never the same.. but u get that who cares :D

Trent, I was looking to purchace a set of Siemens Deka's, are they a bad design compared to JDM?

thanks for all the feed back guys!!! im not looking for massive power i will be more than happy with around 220atw

lol, then why do yo need to highflow the injectors?

Oblivion makes 351 hp at the wheels on stockos. Plenty left in them too.

    • A 1.5 way is a 2 way. It is just a 2 way with a less aggressive ramp on overrun.
    • The ABS and/or TCS being missing/broken will not cause the engine to misbehave. It just casues CEL to come on and annoy you. The CEL is useless if it is always on, so you have to do the things you have to do to get rid of it, so it can be useful. Being a Stag ECU, then yes, it will not expect TCS to be present. But it will expect ABS to be present and working. You will need to either make the ABS CU talk to the ECU (don't ask me what that will take on an NA R34), and make sure the hardware is working....or, you just need to blank it out in Nistune. Do not persist with the stock ECU. You will just have problems. Gte it Nistuned. Start from there. DO YOU HAVE A BOOST SENSOR? The ECU's boost sensor that it. It is connected to the loom at the rear of the coil cover. Usually rides on the firewall on an R34, but is usually bolted down to a bracket along with all the other crap at the back of the coil cover when a Neo is dropped into another car. If you do not have it, the ECU will shit the bed. So, do you have one?
    • So sadly the fuel pump etc was not it. The pump and filter is new and it is still cutting around 4000 rpm. A read something about ABS/TCS (engine is from stagea and ECU too so no TCS) and i dont know for 100% that my car has ABS. It has ABS "cube" in engine bay but i dont think it works(or at least from my braking experience). Can be something like that?  I will be driving the car next week to Nistune tuner to properly see what is wrong...
    • the Tomei LSD fluid with lsd kit. frustrated that it was shaking the car to crap and affecting everything else negatively, I pulled the diff last night, and removed the lsd carrier, could not find anything wrong, however it seem to be 100 locked up acceleration, and deacceleration, wondering if they sent me a 2 way not a 1.5??  either way I installed the stock open carrier back in place. test drove everything smooth as butter again. no shake, shutter, random, what felt like clutch slip and grab or drive shaft play, etc. something differently wrong in side the lsd. I might bother taking it apart (if possible) to figure out what's going on inside this carrier, as bought too long ago to return.  only draw back is its back to a one wheel wonder.
