So my car just failed it's MOT test, the upper control arm bushes are gone. I guess that explains why one side was running -4 degrees camber and the other side +1 1/2.

So I need to fix this. I was wondering how to go about it.

So far I've found the following, assuming that R32 GTR bits will fit the suspension on my 4WD Ceffy

R32 GTST/GTR front camber arms

Reasonably-ish priced, but maybe too much NVH for a daily driver since they replace the bushes withbearings.

Whiteline camber adj kit, upper c/arm

Seems like the best option as I get polybushes so should be nicer to drive, and I get a bit of adjustment just in case it's needed. The downside is it's extortionately expensive and I'd have to keep greasing my nipples afterwards

Polyeurethane bushes

Should be fairly cheap and not too bad for NVH. The downside is that no bugger sells Upper wishbone polybushes for the R32 it seems.

Any suggestions?

Over here on Adelaide, OZ, We have suspension places that do wheel allignments, shocks and replace all types of bushes standard and aftermarket.

Whiteline is a great option slightly expensive yes but you will find the poly not adjustments to nearly be the same price, expect few hundred installed but the car will drive so much better.

Good luck

Also here in australia we've got a manufacturer of quite a few polyurethane bushes, some even come as full assemblies with nickel-plated steel etc.

they have a part number for the R32 GT-R, front upper inner and outer control arm bushes, alignment adjustable, 45488.

Nolethane bushes are f**king awesome. www.nolethane.com.au

Nolethane are good, and they list a complete kit for front and rear for A31 Cefiro RWD, which is what I've got.

For the AWD models, just order R32 GTS4 parts, and any bushes immediately on the front knuckle assembly needs to be S13 (such as the bush between the knuckle and lower control arm, and the bush for the steering arm end).

Ended up getting the whiteline ones as I didn't want the NVH of the solid arms. The car passed it's inspection so I'm good for another 12 months.

that nolethane site doesn't seem to exist, or it's down at the moment, but will check them out when funds are looking a bit better.

edit: it's www.nolathane.com.au

You try catering for all the mechanics within a 500km radius (excluding metro phags of course).

I've just got a lot on my plate right now okay.. *starts twitching and crying*

Should probably update this.

Went with the Whiteline R32 GTR ones since they were in stock and available next day at Demon Tweeks, bloody expensive for what they are but I can't fault their performance.

Got them fitted, passed the MOT, got an alignment. Guy at the alignment shop hadn't seen anything like it (the Ceffy, or the whiteline bushes), spent 10 minutes swearing at the bushes until he figured out how they worked then praised how easy they were to adjust :D

Out for a test drive, he throws it into a corner "bloody hell", he exclaims. "what?", "This is really nice. I thought it was going to drive like a barge and be all wallowey" *proceeds to throw it into the next corner at about double the speed limit for the road* "I think it's aligned right".

Car is driving better than ever now. Just had the sill fixed where some muppet in Japan has put a jack through it, now just got to find out why my front suspension has started creaking. Hopefully just needs more grease now the whiteline bushes have settled in.
