Does the stagea / R34 skyline tiptronic auto gearbox have its own separate auto ecu, or is it incorporated into the engine ecu?

Looking at buying a R34 GTT auto box, already have steering wheel with shifters and the centre console shifter mechanism unit (complete)

Does the box have its onw ecu or is it part of the engine ecu? Would like to do this when i drop in the rb26dett built engine (wont install a manual)

The TCM is part of the ECU in a series 2 auto.

I'm not sure how you would go about using a series 2 auto ECU on a series 1 engine (Neo vs s2 RB25).

S2 auto control is part of the engine ecu. it might not be that easy to fit to a S2 ecu to a RB26 e.g. injectors are different impedance, as standard the coils are different, TPS is different to suit the auto side of things, CAS is different. I'm not saying it can't be done, it just may be abit of stuffing around to get it to work, nistune would be a must.
