So my odo meter has been obviously wound back as none of the number line up, was on 75,200 when I bought it, then around 75,400 the 5 rolled over to 76,400 which just doesn't make sense and they are all jumbled and unreadable now, is this fixable? Or would I need a whole new cluster?

I'm not really fussed as I bought the car with a brand new rebuilt motor etc and basically everything had been replaced, just means its annoying and hard to keep track of how many kms I've done so I can time oil changes etc, so if its wrong numbers its ok, just would like them to roll over properly.

What you have to decide is what is going to be the best solution

a) buy another cluster that is in good condition and just swap them over

b) if your one is in otherwise good condition have it repaired by an instrument repair company - I would get an estimate to repair before they start to make sure that it is worthwhile. I have had a odometer repaired in the past and it has worked perfectly ever since.

no need to repair if it aint broke.. its simply mis-aligned.. just needs to be reset again.. go for a drive and see if it ticks over properly, esp 9 ->0

the first 3 digits do properly but the thousands tick over between 4 and 5 Im pretty sure. I guess I can just do some testing and figure it out and itll be good enough for my oil changes.

Not to confuse things, but even some legit speedos have the misalignment problem. And with all the other problems with stuck speedos and spastic tachos, it's possible the dash clusters were just poorly made. I've got all three problems
