5.5s - 100km/h Stock Na Supra

Hey guys, just on Youtube and stumbled across a video with a Supra doing 0-100km/h in 5.5 seconds (timed it myself as well.

Doesn't seem possible as R32 GTS-Ts have 160kW (same as Supra) but are almost 200kgs lighter and can only pull in the mid 6s. I'd say it was downhill or something.

0:30 to 0:38 is what i counted.

probably not 100% right but it seems like 8s, which is about right. similar acceleration to a stock VN.

Yup, he did 2 runs. First was fail.

Also i think the Dodge coulda gotten a slightly faster time if he had his fuel tank to almost empty, knowing Americans and their massive fuel tanks.

stock NA supra is heavy and underpowered, the second run was around 7s. not 5.

1/4 mile is where its at and i have doubts it would crack 15s.

Theres no way a stock n/a supra would do that, I have driven a stock one before and there dead slow, my old ae86 with the 1.6 twincam was quicker lol.

Actually, in the NA world (of P plate cars specifically), the Supra is up there somewhere, but nowhere near 5 second 100s.

Stock brand new NA manual Supra did 6.7 seconds from factory.
