Sounds bizarre but since the cheapest quote I got for tyres on my standard M35 stagea wheels was over $300 for some pretty ordinary tyres, it seems as though it makes more sense to buy an new set of wheels and then get tyres for them. Different profile = more options = better prices.

Looking at some wheel and tyre packages form import monster I thought I would try here for some advice (searching around the forum for wheel and tyre info for the beast has done my head in).

These are some attractive options but does anyone know whether they will work on the M35 without messing it up?:

The biggest issue to look at here is the staggered sizes. You really need to stay with the same size wheel & tyre front & rear. Differing tyre dia, even a couple of percent out cause issues with the atessa.

Don't even get me started about welded wheels; how did they crack, where is your x-ray report to guarantee this wheel won't destroy itself...

In the Stagea classifieds, a fella has a set of Buddy club 19 x 9.5" +38 offset with ok tyres for about $1200! He says these have been test fitted on an M35 and were perfect, I'd talk to him..

As an aside; in about 2 weeks I'll have a set of 18x8 +40 offset, ARX alloys in immaculate 2pack silver, no marks, no rash, with worn out tyres going quite cheap, these look great on M35's. I just have to wait for my new rims to be painted.

PM if interested.

Cheers, Dale.

Chances are you will need a spacer with these wheels, they will only give 4mm clearance with the suspension. Given the possibility of flexing etc. you would be taking a gamble. As Benny has pointed out +35 is the ideal offset from the experimentation they carried out.

Sound advice thanks. The welds were worrying me. I saw those rims in the classies and they look OK, nice price. But I've never liked the idea of spacers.
